Got my car, whats next?

I just bought a 89 coupe with a sr20det, the motor is totally stock besides a 3" downpipe, 3" test pipe and 3" straight thru dual n1 exaust. I'm running stock boost @ 9psi. What should be my first mod? I was thinking z32 MAFS, HKS or Apexi or K&N air filter, some kind of boost controller (manual or electronic) and a blow off valve for now. What do you think I should get next or a list of **** i should get.

I am putting an SR collection of parts together for the swap and am beefing up all the gremlin prone parts before I even put the motor in. You take a huge risk when you buy a car with an SR already installed. If you haven't already, you should look at the following: Clutch+FlywheelRadiator+ HosesDoes it have a good fuel pump?Did the swap include new plugs?Are the injectors in good shape?Yeah, get an air filter, but you don't really need a Z32 MAFS yet I thinkHaving an engine that won't overheat, a decent clutch, proper fuel and spark etc. is more important than raising boost, or important TO raising boost I should say. other wise you might blow up your brand new baby!

sorry it has a walbro 255ph fuel pump, fairly new act clutch, and im guessing it has the correct spark plugs. the swap was done by a porsche technician and all the wiring is perfect and the swap was done sooo clean and driven maybe 1500-2000 miles after the swap was done. i am planning to buy a boost gauge and a boost controller and run 11psi and thats it for the stock turbo for a long time.

what is the most boost you can run on stock intercooler, turbo and injectors?

if i remeber correctly on a redtop it was 14psi, but I could be wrong, the injectors may be too small.

I believe that the stock SMIC isn't good beyond 10 PSI, but I could be wrong, the stock turbo is good up to 14~16 PSI, and the injectors should be good up to about ~275 RWHP, but you'd be running pretty damn lean.

So right now you are held back by your SMIC, if your interested in an FMIC, I have a spearco unit that I'm trying to get rid of. Chris
