I know painting them won't be hard once they are open. But I can't really afford a new headlight as of right now in case I break one trying to rush it. I also don't want to buy new headlights unless I need to which put me into the predicament to begin with. So I'm stuck to where I will open and paint when I have enough money and time off where I can buy a new light and wait for it to come before anything happens.
Thanks Vincent, kind of surprised to see you on the forums so much now. I know before you were busy with all the sponsors and getting your car prepped for the shows and what not, have you taken the opportunity to put some miles on that thing yet
Ya they f'd up on my paint the first time. This time it came out better than I planned, I switched the color last minute because he thought I was asking for a nissan color when I was asking for an Aston Martin color (Meteorite Silver) but I just wanted my car back asap so I went with the Dark Slate. There were a few things wrong with the car that I have found out since though:
Driver side parking light isn't working (haven't checked if it's just not plugged in or blew out)
Turn signals were moved (from the under the fins to above the fins)
Driver side fascia is sagging below the headlight (not a huge deal to me but it'd be nice to have it fixed)
Overspray on center lower fascia
Map light configuration (with sunglass holder and stuff) is backwards.
That last one tripped me out the most, I keep my cigarettes in the sunglass holder (fits 3 packs perfectly) and I went to open it and realized it's backwards. Now when open it faces the windshield, as in map lights are closer to the windshield than the sunglass holder. It's actually pretty annoying now, but I hope these are all quick fixes so my car won't have to be in the shop more than a day.
