HeLLo NICO

i just got a 1995 nissan 240sx off ebay, got a pretty good deal on it, so i couldn't pass up.

Anyway, im loving this car, the engine is in great condition as the last two owners have used mobil1 synthetic in it, and it doesnt leak or burn oil as far as i can tell. The clutch is new too, really stiff too.. doubt its OEM.

The car comes with 16 inch rims amd 215x55 cooper cobra tires, are those any good? One problem with these tires is that they are too wide and they tear up the plastic that is in the front wheelwell.. do i need that plastic part or can i rip it off?

I drove it back 2000 miles from wisconsin to seattle and got to learn and feel the car, the torque is crazy (im upgrading from a 2000 hyundai accent 1.5L)and the car pulls hard, got it to about 118 somewhere in north dakota.

anyway, every used car comes with problems. the first one i noticed was the blinking air bag light, which was an easy fix with the help of the search button :), did the diagnostics mode and the light went away. Another problem with is is the rear speakers, their not working, probably blown so ill buy some aftermarket ones.. anyone know the size i need to buy?Another problem/blessing is the 3 inch turbo exhaust.. its freaking loud without the silencer, so im just gonna have the silencer in until i turbocharge it at some point in the future.Cruise control doesn't work either, im not sure why, when i press the cruise control button it goes green and when i press set the cruise control light goes on but it doesnt hold cruise.. quite strange. Also when lowering the windows they rattle at first, something must be loose in the door or something.. not sure on that one either. There are dings all over the body, so if anyone knows any tips to removing them, as long as they dont cost over 2900 which was the bodyshop quote according to the lady i bought it from (it was some 30-40 old woman, probably in midlife crisis thats why she had the car all done up lol.)

PS. sorry for the long intro, but thanks for reading : )

pic of exhaust, under car.. took it while car was up getting tire balance, thats why one rim looks crooked.

anyone know where i can get good hosting? cause the 300x300 limit is kindof small :)

who wants to ID the exhaust (if its possible)? i didnt see any markings on it..

First of all welcome to NICO and congratulations on the new car.

For the speakers, my rear ones don't work either, but it wasn't the speakers, cuz i got new ones, it's the wiring or something, for more responses about this you might wanna post it in the Car audio/security/entertainment forum.

Once again congrats on the new car, you'll enjoy it.

BTW, what was a 40 year old lady doing with a car with an exhaust like that?

yea i found that kinda wierd too, she even asked me if i was gonna replace the hail dinged hood with a CF one lol, and she told me that she got the exhaust, air filter, rims/tires and clutch installed after she got the car, which was at 112k miles

My rear speakers are messe dup too, somehow the front ones work, I duno, its odd. Congrats on it. At least yours is just dings, mine has a few of those wavy dents from someone attempting a drift and really lost it. Not to bad until you see them in the light though. Still working on a way to get them out. Have fun with that car!

welcome to nico and congrats on the s14 :)

the exhaust looks like a apexi n1 but it could just be a n1 style muffler

Top Speed is the company name, they have a Taiwan based factory that makes all of their parts. I wouldn't worry about it too much it looks fine.
