Well I wont give the long drawn out story....Basics:1995 SE5-Speed15k milesA'PEXi Intake & Exhaust (exhaust looks a little riceboy-ish for me... oh well)

Immediate Plans:Polish up some areas that rubbed on the bras he had (very minor)Replace Gold EmblemsNew tires (those are the originals)Mild suspension setup (sway bar & struts)

Long Term Plans:KA-T (most likely) or maybe a swap (much less likely)JFRacing.com Type C-1 Body Kit (oh the inner riceboy) --- Anyone dealt with them before? http://www.jfracing.com/5799.html

Enjoy!

And that my fellow newbies... is how it's done!

Either that or it has rolled over and is really 1.015M miles

But judging by the appearance, it's probably 15k

Yeah he did... he was in love with the car but has a wife and two kids. He got it a little bit before he got married and told me that when his wife would get in he made her take her shoes off.... hahahaha. That and he is moving soon and needed to sell it for the money. (which I probably overpaid for but I fell in love with it what can I say?)

Awesome find! It's gorgeous. I wonder if Dunlop tires come on 240's from the factory, they are the worst tires imaginable (when it comes to rain) but you probably have an LSD so that's not an issue I suppose. Take good care of it!

Wow... thats a cherry car. I bought a 96' SE with 43K but auto and i was amazed just to find that. It's crazy to find one in that condition with 5-speed too. Just curious, how much you pay?

Please consider the consequences of getting a bodykit that hangs out so low in the front.

1) They are extremely fragile (duh), but seriously, you're watching out where ever you drive. And trust me, you worry about going to new places in worries of dips and things.

2) Autocrossing/drifting may be problem. It may not like cones very well.

3) Your car must be extremely dropped (cut racing springs will still leave a gap) with very big rims to complete the look. Body kits easily look not so hot when you have small rims or a wide gap between the tires.

4) In my opinion darker colors tones down body kits, since it hides the curves (ie, the kit will make the car look like a skyline in black at night [cant really tell sorta thing]). With a bright red, I need to ask, are you sure you want to get old grandmas to turn their heads.

Nice one you got there.....

I just bought my 95 240SE a little over two months ago. It's nearly identical to yours, minus the 5 speed and mud flaps. Oh, and I had apprx 1200 more miles than you. It sure feels great finding such an awesome ride.

Oh, and I'm sure I over paid a little, but it was well worth it!

Congrats!!

They may not be the original tires but they're pretty ****ty after sitting for so long. South Lyon is not too far from Ann Arbor.... it's a bit past halfway to Brighton (if you know where that is). And actually I'm going to UM this coming Winter semester (I'm 21 and I work full-time so school is hard to fit in).

About the kit: I've installed kits before and know how to complete the look successfully. I wont be seriously dropping the car and I definitely will not be autocrossing or drifting (hence the mild suspension setup). And I agree darker colors look better but not enough to change the paint on there in perfect condition.

Congrats on the car and there are awesome guys here to meet for 240s. I will prob introduce to some of them. I have already seen more 240s here than I remember last year so with you here this winter, it should be a blast. Its not so fun to drive a 240 during winter but it should be ok.

Give us a holla when you get here!
