i finally own a 240 sx 95 manual...my baby is finally homebut when i was driving her home, i noticed that the stick was bouncing up and down going about 75 or 80 mph....its been awhile since i drove a stick but i don't recall the stick ever bouncing (91 civic and 93 integra)....is this because the 240 is rwd....i don't know, or is this not normal...I'm having my mechanic look at the her on monday...thanks any info will be appreciated.....

Transaxles are shifted thru cable links.(most) RWD has the transmission right under the shifter.

so a lot more vibration and movement works through a direct linkage.

yeah, its your mounts, open your hood and rev the engine, if it moves around alot (like mine) you need new engine + transmission mounts

my shifter is like a damn vibrater....(of course the girls like it)

nismo makes them. that would be my choice. you may have to search a little to find them since the site i remember seeing them on is under construction, but the shouldt be that hard to find.

the sr and ka use the same mounts...that's why you can use your ka mounts when doing the sr swap-

check ebay for mounts, that is the cheapest place to find them because people sell them when the get the sr or they sell the sr mounts

the nismo mounts will make the KA sit higher in the bay, so they're not the SAME EXACT mounts, just similar.

you won't be able to put a strut tower bar without hood mods and a special STB.

energy suspension makes great poly-urethane bushings of all varieties. stiffer than stock usually, but that's what most people around here want.

well i got my car back from the mechanic...and i'm afraid that i can't be very helpful. the mechanic said he couldn't find anything wrong, the tannny and engine mounts are still intact.i haven't experienced except for that one time driving her home when i bought her. i even tried driving on the freeway at various speeds (65-95 mph) but nothing that dramatic as before....

who knows, maybe it was just the right rough road and it got some harmonic vibration going with your engine. i wouldn't worry too much unless it gets bad or starts making bad noises.

With the energy suspension engine mount inserts, you'll notice a significant amount of in cabin vibration due the mounts. Especially during idles while parked or at redlights.
