If any of you have wandered over to the KA section, you might have seen it already.

Anyway, I just bought a 1998 Nissan Frontier 4x4, 5spd. It is white with brown interior, and has ridiculous claw mark/seaweed graphics on the side. It has 118k miles on it. So far, I am very happy with it.

I took it four wheeling the first night I had it, and it did pretty well considering I forgot to lock the front hubs (doh!). I am looking forward to being able to tow my S13 to events, and most importantly, muddin'

I will update this with more pictures and stuff once I am out of class.

Nice truck, but I think you'll be disappointed towing with it. The 143hp 4 banger just doesn't have the umph to tow a car and trailer. The tow rating on the truck is 3500lbs, and that's being very generous given the lack of power that truck has. It'll be real happy driving you around and taking you on mild trails, but as a tow rig, I don't think you'll be very happy with it.

Well, I realize its low on power. I wasn't having any delusions of grandeur with the towing thing, as my 240 is generally daily driven (not right now though, no engine) and is capable of getting its own a** to events. Its more of a support vehicle. I can bring several sets of wheels and tires, floor jack, jack stands, tools, etc. etc. and if I blow the 240 up at the track, I have the ability to tow it home... in third gear at 45mph.

Light trail rig, daily driver, and lady killer it its intended purpose. I think you'll all agree, with those graphics, I am gonna have a hard time keeping the ladies away.

A few more pictures. Again, I apologize for my lack of camera.

Lions and tigers and glare, oh my!

I just changed the plugs, wires, oil, coolant, oil filter, and air filter. She runs like a champ!

Nice truck man! Have you ever driven a D21 style truck? If so how does this compare? If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it? And you're right, the ladies won't be able to keep their panties on around those graphics

Actually, this is the very first KA-powered vehicle I have ever driven, as well as the first Nissan truck I have ever driven. I have a lot of seat time in various Xterras, but none in trucks.

I paid a bit under $5k for it, which I thought was a good deal.

I put it in 4hi and terrorized my apartment complex with it....twice yesterday. I am pretty confident it will climb a tree in 4wd. My 235/75/15 BFG All terrains definitely help in that department.

Yeah, there isn't a dent on the whole truck. It does have some things I need to fix, but I already have the parts (new mud flaps, windshield wiper arm, corner light bulbs, etc.). It had never been washed, so it seemed, and we felt that was a good thing as the guy wasn't trying to hide anything by detailing the truck a whole bunch. I was definitely ready to pay $5 for it, considering the other trucks I had looked at...

Side note, went mudding by myself yesterday (breaking cardinal rule of mudding) and got stuck. I walked to Dyas Nissan and the parts guy pulled me out with their work truck, a white king cab 2009 Frontier. It was embarrassing, but at least I got pulled out by a fellow Nissan.
