I am a new owner from Romania of 200sx with ka24de engine in... after i had buy it.. in 3 weeks many problems it appeared.

1: the old clutch died when i arrived at home....... now i installed XTD stage 4 clutch kit (without flywheel) and i have some problems with it... when the engine get hot.. the clutch don't work well... the clutch pedal hold up... i think it is the clutch cilinders..and the line. so i ordered that ones from ebay ( new slave cylinder and stainless clutch line ).. i hope i will fix the clutch problem

2: the engine is getting hot. ... the engine is getting hot too fast.. i do not know why.. i don't have that plastic think.. tunilier.. protection for fan .. maybe that is the cause ? also the fan from radiator doesn't work... and the old owner said the water temperature shows only when it's getting up from 90c

3: strange sounds at engineThe engine started to make strange sounds.. like it hit metal to metal.... it looks like i must change the timing chain kit.. so i already ordered a new one... the sound is stronger and stronger from day by day passed.. with every mile is getting stronger... this happened in 4 days.. it is normal ?

does any1 have 1-2 answer for me ? what can it be ? what caused the problems ?

PLEASE EXCUSE MY BAD ENGLISH...Thanks.

For your 2nd question about your motor being too hot. Have you considered a faulty thermostat being the cause of your problem? If your motor has a faulty thermostat, engine overheating becomes a common situation.

For Question 3, your timing chain could be about ready to break. The sooner your timing chain kit arrives and you install it, the better!

HELLO I MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING U WANT TO TRY.. FIRST UR CLUTCH IS TOO THIN FOR STOCK FLYWHEEL IT SHOULD BE REPLACE. 2nd YOUR ELECTRIC FAN SEEMS LIKE IT IS NOT WORKING ALSO CHANGE OUT YOUR T-STAT TO A LOWER ONE LIKE 180 DEGREE AND CHECK WATER PUMP... AND ABOUT THE NOISE IN YOUR ENGINE PLEASE CHECK THE TIMING CHAIN COVER ALL IT IS A PIECE OF ALUMINUM PLATE HOLD BY TWO SCREWS TAKE IT OFF AND THROW IT AWAY. IT IS KNOWN TO BREAK OFF AFTER 15OK-210K MILES. TRY IT TO SEE IF THIS COULD HELP U GOOD LUCK
