so last nite i got a flat tire so i pulled over on the shoulder and was gonna fix it...by the time i opened the tailgate and looked at the tire some stupid kids hit the back of my truck....i heard them coming cause they were racing...two honda civics...only one hit my truck doing at least 80mph...the rear of my truck is done,but almost everything else is ok (kinda)....im gonna try to sell the stuff thats good...so if u need anything let me know......ill try to post pics tomm. by the way its a 97 qx4 that mud green color with tan leathers

Speaking of stupidity, there were 2 articles in today's paper that caught my eye.A 34 year old guy killed himself when he rolled his Honda Civic on a local freeway. He was thrown 20 feet from the car. Police said that speed, alcohol, and not wearing a seatbelt contributed to his death. Like DUH! He got what he deserved.

Second one was, someone noticed a parked school bus, empty and idling, and thought they saw the driving sipping on a beer. They called the cops, and sure enough, while he was waiting for classes to get out, he decided to have a few beers. His license was suspended, and he was fired. Imagine that. He was 26 years old. How dumb is that?

nothing really happened to them...there car is done but they were pretty much fine..man i wanted to f*ck that kid up but my friend was hurt so i cared more about that...once i get the police report ill find out where he lives

i dont know about the insurance cause i only had liability... i dont know yet..i hope...

i was in the back trying to bring my spare down but luckily i heard them coming and got out of the way...my front right tire was blown so imagine i was fixing the tire i would of never had time to move cause i wouldnt know it was coming...my friend was in my truck when it got hit and he got a little hurt..nothing broken but alot of pain.....i had the tow bar in the back and that did save a lot more damages from happening

Right now i just woke up and forgot what i needed..but the dealer wants $150 a piece for those trim pieces/weatherstripping at the bottom of each window....so if yours are in good shape (mine are bubbling with rust) id definately give you good money for them!

When you were stopped, I assume this was at night, where your tailights illuminated, and hazards activated? Stupid ricers, it looks like they went under your car and pushed your axel. So parting it out, then the crusher? Post a vid if it gets crushed. Good luck. My mom's Q got rearended once by a first gen pathy. The car wasnt totaled, but had $30,000 CDN in damage. 60MPH rear ending. Driver was asleep. The body shop did a good job, except the bumper is crooked, and nothing is completly flush.

yea it was at night and it was cold so i left the car running with the lights on and the hazards...and i have white bulbs in there so they where bright but these kids nowadays dont know how to drive

yea i always hated the miss match tint also....the corner lights were tinted(got bored one day)..yea my body shop say he def thinks its a total loss....how much do u guys think the insurance company is gonna give me...its a 97 qx4 with 106,143 and i live in NY(i dont know if that matters) and the insurance company is geico

yea but i wasnt in the car when this happened..i was outside in the back trying to bring the spare down...i heard them coming and turned around a saw him loosing control so i moved out of the way...so i dont think i can do anything cause i wasnt in the car..

i'm going to guess $5500-$6000..... at least thats the going rate for 97 qx4's in my area.... could be different on the opposite coast....

the general rule of thumb for total loss, is if the damage repair costs amount to 50% (or more) of the cars market value, then its a total loss. That's definitely at least $3,000 of repairs, thats why i say total loss

yea it was the front right tire..yea the pics are funny with the three wheeling...yea the rear axle bent...but the front and transfer case should be fine...ill let you know when it comes back

Don't take their first offer. Tell them you want $6500 then negotiate.
