got headlights installed,but there is still a problem

i got both headlights changed and yet im having the same problem. only one dim light will come on but both bright lights come on.what could be causing this?

i checked your old thread, you have a 92 240sx pop up lights

when you say dim light and bright lights, I think you meant low beam and high beam

if that is the case there might be some issue with the wiring?

maybe there is a relay/fuse involved but I am not near my car so maybe someone else woudl know for sure and chim in

yeah thats what i meant i do have the pop up style lights.

Probably the headlight switch. The wiring is different for left and right headlights. You need a multimeter to diagnose the problem.

Check your switch, it's the most commun cause of head lights failure.

Also check your light conector ( with lights on) and if you have a good earth there in the conector it will be switch related, else it's a relay problem and harder to fix it.

relay1 supplies ground to left headlight and relay 2 supplies ground to right headlight. ground is supplied for both high and low beam by same relay so it is unlikely to be relay.
