Hey, Im hella confused after yesterday night. My friend with the 300zx raced my friend that has the 93 gsr and his car is fast, the thing is he won?!?! Im totally confused. Before I raced my friend with the 300 many times and took him no problem, and i also raced my gsr friend with no launch and lost by 1/2 a car length. I know my friend with the 300 didn't put any more parts in it, could it be that his car is suppose to be faster and he just learned how to drive it? I thought my car and my friends gsr are suppose to be faster.

who won? What year Z? Without knowing anything about either car, it's impossible to say which should be faster.

I have a 95 240, my friend has a 93 gsr, and a 90 300zx. We raced him before many times not just once or twice but enough so that he could atleast get in some good runs.

Depends, if its turbo or not. The non turbos are not that fast from the factory.

So who won? Is the Z turbo or no? The GSR is the 1.7L, correct?

GSR is 1.8L 175hp. That Z is at least 220 hp, and even though it's heavier, it should have enough torque to rip the GSR bad enough to win early in the race. GSR are by no means slow...once the little honduh's rev they do alright. i'm assuming the Z is 5 spd, no? i'd atribute his loss to his driving skills.

Um....did he not say 1993 GSR? I could swear that is the 1.7L, not the 1.8L.

The gsr is a 1.7 liter and it has 160hp, and the 300 is non turbo and is a 2+2 so its heavy as hell. And both are 5 spds

In that case, I would say the GSR should take the Z. But it really *could* go either way.

My friend's 93 GS-R ran a 16.1 at the track years ago. And yes, it is 1.7L 160 HP. IIRC, there were only about 700 made. Not sure if that was per year or total of 92 and 93. But they are rare, but hardly anything to get excited about since the later versions made more power. In stock forms, the 300ZX should be faster. The power to weight ratio of the Z is about 15 and the GS-R is about 16.6. But mods and condition of the cars can make a difference.

Stats from car stats: stock 93gsr 15.3stock 300 non turbo 15.5stock 95 240se 16.1if they are stock and you have your mods you should be right with them i believe. This sounds like a 3 way drivers race if they are stock. Best driver is gonna be the deciding factor

Wow, I had a good guess then when I said the GSR should win but it really depends on the driver. I didn't even look up the stats...I guess I'm just *that* good ;)

My brothers 92 GS-R ran a 15.2 w/ I/H/E and heavy 16 in wheels w/ 200k miles on it. Not many people are aware of the b17, cause whenever i say it they are like b18 or b16?!?!?!

This guy that comes into the car wash i work at drives a Sentra se-r spec v, he has MUGEN shoulder pads on his seatbelts :sad
