SOHC 1990 KA24E

Engine is not seeing boost read last line.

It idles fine but the AFR's from the O2 sensor are dead lean, there is no power under load.. I can't get above 2grand without worring about my HG.

What would you suggest to look for? It is setup as a blow through MAFS I will provide pictures tommorow.

All the emission garbage is removed, the only thing recieving a vacume now is the idle control and FPR.

It idles fine but the EGT's are damn hot, I infared scanned the runners on the manifold

1 - 65 degrees C2 - 753 - 1014 - 89

The "turbo" is at 215 degrees C after the engine is warm.

The engine is running NA currently because my turbo didn;t like my skills with a hydro press... it was modified and is now an elbow...

That could also be true. But I would rather be safe then SOL and assume it is incorrect.

What else would cause the engine to idle strong, than struggle horribly trying to accellerate under load 2k + I can free rev it to which ever rpm I want.

Think not having the intake air temperature sensor connected would affect it?

The intake air temp has no effect on engine management. Use a volt meter and look at your O2 voltage does it also indicate lean [close to 0 volts]?

I thought that was the case.

I tried getting a voltage out of it by putting the ground on the head and the positive lead from the multimeter to the wire commig off the O2 sensor which I assumed would be the positive.

It is a new sensor that I just bought and it is about 4" back from the "turbo" in a 3" pipe with no back pressure at all (if that makes a difference)

Also I have the swirl valve controller and vacume source removed, I was under the impression that they didn;t a vacume source because they would stay paralle to the runners until the vacume source is applied.

move the swirl control system with your hand and try to drive(this may require creativity). i have seen a stuck swirl control valve or two cause a car to run out of breath at 1500 and up.
