i'm new to this forum and i was wondering who here was actually into drifting and who was just another 1/4 mile racer. Also if u are drifting r u still using the stock ka motor or did u swap in a sr or ca?

everyone THINKS they are a drifter.....LOL.....

not pointed at anyone directly...but that word does get thrown around a lot now a days....its a sport/style of driving, doesnt mean, "i was driving the other day, stopped at a light, made a left turn, and had this sick drift"...thats fishtailing, lol...cant say how many people i see kick the back end out for a second and say "you see that drift man, that was craaaazy", LOL

No, it doesn't count as a drift. : ) But I'm glad I'm not you.

I was sideways heading towards my girlfriend in a K-mart parking lot while she tried to escape in her Corolla...I suppose thats more drift oriented than Fishtailing. I also ****ed my tie rod going sideways into a three-lane road that not so suddenly becomes 2 lanes....

hmmm...I fuffed up my right rear wheel in my old corrolla "drifting" (i.e., fishtail) through the snow. I thought I had it until the third fishtail.

That big *** on the stationwagon kinda screws up handling.

Ummm ok guys if you want to curse I say go ahead and do it. As long as it's not directed at another member of this board, or you are not trying to degrade someone by using curse words I see no problem in dropping the occasional F-Bomb.

I think everyone one knows what you are trying to say when using words such as "fubbed" and "uffed" or even "****ed". So if you fell it necessary to use those words, I say just go all out. I don't think it will really offfend too many people if you drop an F-Bomb when describing an unfortunate incident involving your car.

For what it's worth if someone thought you were ignorant for dropping the F-Bomb, I don't think they would deem you as any less ignorant for using the word "fubbed" or "****ed" or even the mother of all curse codes "*#@!". Not that I think dropping the occasional F-word is ignorant, but all I am trying to say is that if someone was offended by the F-word, I think they would be just offending to see the word "fubbed".

Just my two cents.

Are you kidding? The word "*****" is one of the most versatile words there is. One can use it in so many ways.

Oh, and I aced etymology with ease...

i'm an internet drifter. sometimes while i'm being a mindless nerd who has nothing to do but look at bbs' all day i dont feel like getting up. so i get speed going and pull a sick *** drift around the corner to go into the kitchen and grab a coke.

or even better one time i was walking in the grocery store and the aisle was crowded so i turned sideways and started walking sideways which was an even sicker *** drift than the chair one.

I can drift in Gran Turismo 3 too!:ylsuper

I can't drift in real life though. A lot has to do with the car...WRX. It will be getting sold soon though (hopefully) and I'll be getting a 240.:) We'll see how things go then.

BTW, this is my first post. I've been lurking for a bit, but figured it was time to drop in and say 'hi'.

hey this is awsome im all about drifting that is until recently when well i had a slight battle scar well maybe a big battle scar i wrecked goin sideways at 75 mph but then i hit the grass and slowed alot in the available 280feet oh yah and it was wet and this was 10 days after i had my sr20det swapped in well thankgod my sr was fine and now thanks to some advice from dauntless im going back to unstable-hybrids (installed my motor) and there helping me repair it so i got a parts car for 200$ (wow) and soon will have a black front end on a sea foam green 240sx well happy to say im not discouraged just wont be stupid any more and try really fast corners like that on little 2 lane roads now i have a major drift scar and eventually would like to put a silvia front end on it but anyways drifting rules just do it in a safe place well at least try to

Anyway, got quotation marks? Everytime I read someone's post who doesn't use 'em I feel like I'm speedreading because there's nowhere to stop because you don't give me somewhere to stop so I just keep going and when I finish your post I feel out of breath :poke

yeah dude. how about some punctuation too?

whenever i go down the 4 flights of stairs from in my apartment i drift all the corners. it's totally faster than grip-walking. my girlfriend doesn't believe me but i always finish before her lol.
