Got diff knowledge?

I know this question may have been asked on these forums before but it seems like every thread I read there are different opinions. I have the 300zx diff and know I already need to swap the covers. And the output shafts are different. So some say buy j30 axles but I was wondering if its possiable to just change the 240s output shafts in the 300 diff and use the stock axles? Any help would be appreciated.

Far easier to switch the axles than to remove the stub axles from the diff.

The question is though Im willing to do it because I can save 100 or so dollars without buying the axles. Just another thought so the j30 axels spline to both the 4lug hubs and 5 lug ones?

you must use vlsd stub axles in a vlsd diff. so no your open diff stub axles will not work.

also if you find the J30 axles at a auto wrecker or a pick n pull it would be less than 100 for axles. GL
