got datsuns?

I was just hinking about how the datsun and older z forums seem pretty deadwhat strikes me as odd is when you go to other car sites like mazda with an older model like an R100 or an RX2 everyone gets excited and a lot of them have older models stowed away in a garage somewhere, and there is a lto of interest in the older models that gave birth to what they are all driving nowis this lost on Nissan Infinity owners? is there no interest? does no one have older models stowed away somewhere?I am a general car geek, Nissan/Datsuns is what really spins my crank though I've never owned a 510 but love them and hope to find a decent one one dayI'd think most of you have had or will have other models, post what you had/have and want

currently71 240Z 83 280ZX turbo

and I hope to have an old 510 one day

only nissan i ever had is my current one:95' 240sx (sr20)had a 1995 camaro before thatalso had a 1990 doge omniand 96' s10 before that

Well I myself love the old 510s and old Z cars, I have fair amount of friends that either own 510s or 240z's or 280zx turbos. If were to get another project car it would definately be a 510.

I love Datsuns...

My dad has an '84 300zx turbo in mint condition (never driven, always garaged and covered)

My first car was a '91 Max, and now a '90 240sx...woud love to have a 510, 280z, or an old 200sx turbo...

Ahh Datsuns, Right now i have 2 nice ones. A 1980 Datsun 210 wagon and a 1977 Datsun 620 King Cab. Both are running half assed right now. As for nissans all thats left in my collection is the 1989 240SX. Damn I miss all my cars.

with all this interest why is it that the datsun/ Z forums are so dead ?

Because few of us actually posses these cars, even though we love them. There are a few on the boards, but they are much more scarce than say, the 240sx. When we talk about them, it tends to just be in gen chat (mostly because they'll get no attention in the dead datsun forums :-\)

I have a 84 datsun 200sx, and my 89 240sx. My mom has her 71 240z and 70 1600 roadster.

OK as the mod for the Datsun fourms, i say come on over even if you dont have a datsun. Its dead as hell over there now that they took the old Z cars away from me.
