After two wonderful years, I got caught cheating, and now my girl's out of my life. Sure, we had our ups and downs, but what relationship doesn't? She had her flaws, but I was in love... I'll always remember her like this

My mistress

Yeah, so she's officially sold, keys and title have been handed over. For those of you who want to know. It had: S14 SR20DET, 300ZX fuel filter; Blitz LM FMIC, NurSpecR catback, DCIII FATT, SBC-iD; Walbro 255 fuel pump, Exedy Stage II clutch; Apex'i Power Intake cone; Touge Factory downpipe, test pipe; Earl's braided stainless steel clutch hose.

At least I can still dream of a Menage A Trois

Actually, the real story is, my folks didn't want me to have two cars and pay money to insure on both. So after much arguing, I had to give in, since I'm 21, have no credit, I needed my dad to co-sign on my STi, which means I have to listen to what they say.

Thanks, payments are a pain in the @$$, but well worth it. For me, it requires working 20 hours a week, being in the Navy Reserve, WHILE taking 15 credit hours trying to maintain a 3.X GPA.I feel like my brain turns to soup from reading about an average of 200 pages (of dry textbooks) and learning about 15 new vocab words a day, 4 days out of the week.Oh, and I'll pop in every once in a while, I want to find a S13 coupe sometime in the distant future.

I think so, the guy who won it on eBay is in his early thirties I believe and wants to Auto-X it or something. He also works at a body shop so that problem's solved too. The real kicker is, he lives just on the other side of town, go figure.GRRR, it's kind of depressing after all that time and money spent on the car, but I guess that's life.

haha I was in the same situation as you. I had an Impreza, 240sx, and a sportbike, so I was forced to sell one of them. Sadly it was the IMpreza I think that was the biggest mistake I have ever made. Oh well I guess I still have the S14 to hold me over You will love Subaru's they handle buetiful just a bit too much understeer for my liking

The L, RS, WRX or STi? STi does have understeer in the entries, but I try to exceed its limits in the corners. The nice thing about the STi is a little throttle can help swing the rear end with the DCCD set at 35/65 lock. Still, a nice fat Cusco rear sway barshould sort that out though. Since you live in Florida, I'm sure the Impreza is the least practicle for you, where as I live in Chicago. However, the overdampened springs causes the car to bounce like crazy on the highway and sometimes I get a little motion sick. Personally though, if I could get another car as a daily driver, it'd either be the Legacy GT or G35.

Honestly, the STi feels like a spaceship with all its cool little gizmos compared to the 240sx. I mean with the 240, no practical cupholders, I took out the A/C, the cruise control solenoid went out, useless rear seats, CD player that only plays OEM CDs. The STi has shift light/buzzer, 2 functional cupholders, IC spray button, DCCD, 6 disc CD changer all come with the car. The needle sweep when you turn the key to the on position is freaking cool too. The 240 was more about the drive, and having fun, the STi is more like getting down to business.

Mmm... Evo IX, I honestly think the pinnacle of 4-bangers has been reached in terms of performance.

Actually, I'm not a traitor... sort of... my parents have had 3 Legacys since like 97 and so I've always been interested in Subaru, my favorite being the 22B of course. Then the WRX came out but my budget was limited, so I researched what cars were out on the market. I didn't want another Honda/Acura, Toyotas were boring, so I jumped on to the 240sx+SR/drift bandwagon at its early stages back in '02. Then as a graduation gift, I got my 240 in '03. Then the STi came out and it rekindled my Suby love, so I'm back where I started :P

I dont blame you, my next car will be 4wd, im trying to decide between a ur-s6 for the practicality of it, or just say eff practicality and go with the evo. ive got time to think about it, though. i plan on keeping my s13 or trading it for a coupe to make my track whore, though.

i'd have bought a wrx in a heartbeat seeing as you can pick up a used one now for under 10k in good condition, but im 21 like you and have barely any credit. youre lucky your dad cosigned, my parents dont want to have anything to do with my finances :P

I'm kind of in the same situation as you right now. I have my 240, an A4, and a GSXR600. Thankfully my parents aren't forcing me to sell anything yet.

Lucky, I was thinking about a bike, but I'm kind of scared. AND my dad conveniently dropped in the part about if I ever get a bike, he'll cut me out of his will and put me out on my own. D:

To be honest, I might get a daily driver next year after I save up some money. I would really like a station wagon for all practical reasons. My top choices would be the Forester, turbo Volvo wagon or Protege 5. But all those can be modded, so I'm also thinking Camry wagon or just a Corolla.

Streetracer - Hehe, good choice, I'd keep the 240 over the 350 too, G35 coupe is another story though... I wanted the STi a lot worse and a lot longer than the 240, so yeah, you know where the story goes from there.

damn D1SR240, you sound like you have it good. haha What do you drive the most?Bikes are cool until you start stunting them real hard and go through 3 bikes a year But know I use my stuntbike (and quit stunting) as my daily driver so I can park up the 240 in a nice closed garage I love it!

lol you sound JUST like me! lol I'd choose the 240 over a 350z, but I would LOVE a G35. And I still want my wrx/sti.

I did have liability only, but wouldn't fly with my parents. Since they fronted the down payment, I had to pay them back and since they didn't want to wait around until my MGIB application cleared, I had to sell.

Nismochick: The old 5 speeds were notoriously weak trannys, and it's regular to hear about a 2nd gear that gets stripped, but 5th??? What is the guy doing to his car?! Anyways, the 6 speeds are a bit beefier. And, I don't like drag racing... or even speeding for that matter. No 5k launches or clutch dumping for me, I don't really stress the drivetrain much.

RB20DETodd: I don't really think they're overrated, but they ARE overhyped. There's just a lot of fan boys, like with 240s these days who think the car will be able to overcome plain ol' driver stupidity. I read daily about how kids flip their month old STis and saying it's the cars fault because it understeered when he was trying to make a turn at 80 mph. I knew what I was getting and and am extremely pleased with it, except the overdampened struts and the soft mounts + very intrusive ecu always changing the timing causing the car to hesitate and buck off throttle. Yeah, the gas mileage is terrible.

I am REALLY liking the Evo IXs though. My friend and I had some time before Saw II (good movie, better than the first imo, creepier too) so we stopped by the Mitsu dealerships and man the IX is just too bad all the kids around here are evo fans so the dealership is asking 39 for the MRs and kids' parents are willing to pay that kind of money too. The new STIs too. didn't like the front end at first, but it's growing on me, and i'm a big believer of form follows function and i can't argue with the new changes they made.

Yep, 18/24, but the way I drive it's more like 24/18 ;X Same with the Evo. But a small price to pay for the type of performance you get. But with an AccessPort (EMS that can store multiple maps and let you switch between them) you can use the "economy map" when commuting. with the money saved on gas, the AP will eventually pay for itself... someday

Yeah, COBB AccessPort is on my list of mods I remember when COBB first mentioned making the AccessPort, back when the only choice was to mail your ECU in...thats how long Ive been planning mods for my wrx/sti LOL
