Hey guys,

Thought id throw in an update of what im doing lately, i haven't really been on nico the past 2 weeks.

About a week ago, i was already looking for a car, but i found a good deal on this one and i took it.

2001 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T Sport Fully Loaded.

The car has leather (showroom condition),heated seats, the sport S4 suspension, cold weather package, xenon lights + projectors, electronic stability and traction control,5 speed tiptronic trans also has shifter buttons on steering wheel, AWD obviously, etc.

The car is extremely well kept, the lady i bought it from, bought it from her friend a couple years ago. She was selling it cause she got a new camry or something. She has EVERY single service record since the car was bought, she and her girlfriend always got it serviced somewhere, which is the other reason i took this deal too.

When i bought it the lady recently within the past 10k miles had, new brakes put on, rear passenger side wheel bearing replaced, and brand new tires on it.

Car has 121k miles on it, since i got it so far whats been done is:

K&N Drop in air filter

Denso Iridium Spark Plugs

Cleaned MAF sensor

Full Detail

What still needs to be done:

Fuel Filter - already have it, just didn't get around to it

Rear drivers side wheel bearing - Already ordered, should be done this week

Center Caps on rims - they look like complete crap cause the paint is falling off, already ordered a new set of 4 for 22$, ebay ftw

Coolant change - might need one

Trans Fluid Change

All in all, when i bought it, i knew there would have to be some general tune up things done, and i knew about the bearing before i bought it also.

Lady was asking 4.8k, she took 4.3k, which i think i got an awesome deal, the car is in excellent condition and has all service records, i could fetch 5.5k for it easily if i wanted to flip it.

Onto the pictures (sorry for crappy quality, ill get some better ones tomorrow):

AWESOME! THE A4 is one of my two favorite "cars". I was this close to landing an S4 about 2 years ago. Silver on Black, exactly how I would want it.

Take care of her. You're keeping the Pathy though right?

How does a highschool guy afford insurance on 2 vehicles? Minimum here would be $3300. I'm not trying to sound like an a**, (I bought my Pathy in full at 17 while in Highschool too), just curious.

I was gonna ask too. Because my insurance skyrocketed because I crashed my last car (ML320). It wasn't even totaled. I can't even afford to run full insurance because of how high it went.

I was wondering why you got rid of the ML (read it somewhere). What was the damage quote?

I never even bothered getting a quote, I figured I didn't wanna waste money dumping into a car. I know it would have been well into the thousands. I had however bought all the interior parts that needed to be replaced. But I would have had to replace the rear seat and pop out all the dents etc. I'm not gonna threadjack so I'll post more pics and details in my own build thread.

sucks about the benz, i actually like the ML, especially the ones with the bull bar, and chrome nerf bars on the sides.

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way, but I've been in your dad's situation. I have 2 grown sons, and when they first bought cars, I did the same thing: Put them in my name and insured them, with the kids listed as primary drivers. That was all well and good, until they had an accident. With everything being in my name, it didn't matter who was driving. I got nailed, pure and simple. Maybe the rules are different where you are, but I would never do that again. I was finally able to clear up my record when my son bought another car, put it in his name, and got his own insurance. I was able to "transfer" the accident file from my records to his. It was a long process, and it drove up his own rate, but I didn't want to pay anymore for his mistake. My son was pretty good about it. My insurance has since gone down to where it should have been all along.....and my record is clean.
Just a heads up folks.

Totally agree. I guess in the past, that loophole worked but I guess they got wise.

On another note, nice ride. I would consider one myself but in the avant version w/ 5 speed.

thanks, i would have gotten a 5spd too, but im fine with this, especially cause i probably couldnt have found another one in this pristine of a condition, its a 5 speed tip tronic, and ill be getting the APR ecu chip which will put up my hp to i think 225, and same with torque so it will be pretty quick.
