Got an Altima KA24DE…..I want to put it in a 2000 Frontier……

Is this just stupid?

What are the differences, and what needs to be swapped out?

I heard they were the exact same, and bought it….. I was misinformed, and will be out about 300.00 in shipping. So any help would be great! Thanks in advance…

Not sure about the block, but the head is different. The Altima's head would locate the distributor where your firewall is. The RWD KA's have the distributor on the side of the block towards the front. Many motors that see applications in longitudinal and transverse mountings have different castings to accomodate the different positions. Could be a much bigger headache than its worth to find out...
