Okay so basically the 1991 Nissan 300zx twin turbo that I got from my buddy for free actually, he just want me to turn off their yard his parents need to make new space for building something and he let me just take it like that. Amazing huh? Anyways this thing has been sitting in nature, for the last 5 years. No tarp and a broken driver side t-top means that the outside some mold or moss growing on it and the interior has mold and a lot of pine needles and other things from Northern California trees. What I'm seeking advice on is how to get rid of all this without pressure washing off chunks of my black paint from the door and all over. I don't know if anybody has first-hand experience with moss removal from a Nissan 300zx but any advice would help I want this thing looking good before I even dive into the engine bay and replace all the fluids and filters for it and gas, battery, then maybe try to start it after all that stuffs done.

Forgot the tail light lens is cracked passenger. I'll probably do the JDM tail lightswap anyway. Does someone know where I can order replacement T-Top glass driver side for my zx? It's a 91 TT, non-2+2. Thanks for any help nice club and I'm happy to of joined this great forum full of knowledge. I read the sticky on "Everything you need to know about 300zx's" about three times. Great info & tips!

Thanks again,
Tone

Can't beat that price.

I'd just go with some dish detergent and elbow grease to clean it. It doesn't really look that bad for having sit with a busted out T-top. Here in NC that would have had a pond with fish and stuff growing in it. :)

I think the real question for you is why has it been sitting?

If it is because the timing belt broke you may find out the engine is totally trashed.

Good luck, and keep us informed!

I'd get it running first even though it was free you could spend 3k or upwards easily. Since it was parked there are many things that could be the underlying reason.
Just a few that come to mind that I'd check before preceding after fluid change:
timing belt
injectors
fuel lines
brake lines
Clutch
Transmission
turbos
knock
after 4 years the rings could even be rusted to the cyl walls

I would just hand wash it and see if will run, unless you plan a full rebuild and replace everything under the hood.

Thanks for the help guys. Thing is my friend worked at a nissan dealership and the master tech always did maintenance and upgrades to it themselves at the shop so it ran great. He drove andndlways but 100 miles then it died and he got it towed snd let it sit, bought an sti thinking the Z was toast..and had fun with that for a while then got an audi with like a 4.2 v8 6 speed that's ballsy as hell has so much power and he said ya just get the zx off my property it shouldn't need much to run. Maybe new injectors at the most. And I wanted to do the 550cc injector upgrade anyhow so I'm willing to replace them all and every coil on plug and stuff. I want it to purr and the motor was always covered I doubt much moisture got into the cylinders if you have an idea on what to mix with my gas to lubricate everything I'm all ears or maybe an oil treatment I should dry cycle in there with the fuel pump off for a few rotations?
