Got a raise from my 2nd job

I am going to make a long story short I told them I was quiting cause I got a job offer of $6.00 an hour instead of $5.15 I was making there. Next thing I know they offer me $7.00 an hour to stay so what the hell in less then 4 weeks I get a raise SWEET!!

so about $160.00 per week after Taxes

nice dude, glade you got a raise. Though after 10/hr its kind of hard to get a raise like that.

Hey we scored a $.55 cost of living raise up here. No wonder, housing costs have skyrocketted in the last year. Median home cost: $200k, in a county where an overwhelming majority live below the poverty level...?

Where you work? I make $3/hr it sucks but then I get TIPS usually end up at $8/hr. Sometimes I make $5/hr soemtime $20/hr just depends on the group of people. Love it when the guy in Viper pulls up and stiffs me(actually happened) then a car that can barely make to the hotel gives me $5.

if you are refering to me this is my 2nd job I do on the side just to make some extra cash don't NEED the job just do it so I can mod my car faster.

I spent 4500 in one year so I am looking to double that this year with this 2nd job.

EDIT:......your above post just answered my question....its just your secondary job.....not your main source of income. I get it now

My real job pays me $19 bucks an hour and my wife makes as much as me.

I am getting a raise in 1 week from 8.50/hr to 11/hr and im going to be doing less work

My work is like super happy fun time.

I'm a network engineer. Basically, I tool around on a computer all day, fix things when they break (rarely), then go home and work on my car

Well.....

I work for Bellsouth and the time to update the union contract is this weekend. This means a few things. I might have to strike, and not get paid. But it might also mean an instant pay raise (up a few bucks from 18 dollars), and a bonus. Hopefully I will post something good soon.

Well, I'm 20:-halfwy through college (taking fall semester off, then 3 semesters left)-working in the computer field since age 16 (web programming, then sysadmin, then network engineering)-working with cisco & other high end network gear since 17-finally got my CCNA and CCNP in the past year-working on my CCIE-little bit of luck thrown in for good measure

see thats the problem your lucky. You got to work on networks and servers. I got stuck with the grunt work. All i do is fool around with computers. I am looking at getting some certs.But i don't even know if it would be worth it due to my lack of knowledge with servers.
