got a question

i got my 92' 240 hatch stuck in a ditch last winter had my buddy pull me out and i was gettin on the gas a little as he was pullin me out. when i went to drive home it sounded like someone was beatin the hell out my motor from the inside. the car died and wouldnt start at a stop sign it was just barely turning engine over one time. got it push started, still sounded like it was banging. i got it home and now it just wont start it sounds like battery it dyin but it only turns over once. i think i threw somethin in it but dont know where to start! its been sittin for a year and i want to get it goin again. it so much more fun to drive than my 300z.

Look at your oil pan. Is it dented from when you went off roading?

Have you checked the oil level?

There are so many things that it could be, there is no way for us to magically diagnose your engine through the internet. Start taking it apart figure it out for yourself.

+1 on oil pan. Sound like some how pushed the pan up and maybe a part of it is actually getting hit by the crank. Does the sound speed up with the motor? Or does the sound speed up with the speed of your car..

Throw a new motor in. Start looking for part outs near you.

ok so i checked the oil pan and its all good. i dont think it was anything from impact because there was so much snow that there wasnt any impact just stuck in snow. i think when i was gettin on the gas while being pulled caused it to break somethin. the sound speeds up with the engine if i recall correctly. its been over a year.
