Got a problem with a 95 Maxima GLE

Ok, this is the first Maxima i've ever owned. Fell in love with it as soon as i got behind the wheel. Its a 95 Maxima GLE with the Dual overhead cam 3000 V6. about 5 days ago it started running rough like it was missing. changed the plug out thinking that maybe they were fouling out. didnt help it. got to listening to the motor as it ran, and its got a knock in it now that sound like its kinda coming from the intake manifold. and when you shut it off, theres something that buzz's about 2 or 3 times. the car hasnt lost much power but enough to tell a difference. the check egine light came on, flashing at first, then stayed on and when driving it will go back to flashing and then stay back on. tried to run the codes, but i am not fast enough to get back from underneath the dash to see the check engine light flashing. if anyone has any ideas on what could be wrong, any help would be great.

I have a 95 also

The very first time it ran rough it was a bad coil

Of course it could be almost anything, but you mighttrying checking the ignition system first
