Got a nice trick to save money!

So i go to western auto to look for electric fans, I want to take out that crappy mechanical fan that makes way to much noise.I ask the counter person to go get a 12 inch fan so i can see it. I was not that impressed with the fan. Flex-a-lite fans are way better but a bit expensive. So i ask for the price and he tell me 82.99. My jaw dropped, the guy asked me what was wrong. Quick thinking, so i told the guy listen, pepboys has these fans for 49.99 but they are out of stock and i need them today, He quickly without even thinking said thats fine ill sell them for that! So i was like give me two! There was two guys right behind me laughing because they couldnt believe how easy it was. The fans were actually 65 in pep boys. I went to pep boys and got the thermostat adjuster and wire harness and im off to do another project. What a great day! I suggest you guys try this it works so bad. All these companies are in all out war with each other, its great for us consumers.

i got my coolant reservoir for 8 bucks while dealership costs $91 and has to be special ordered

was it the one thats like the oem? or those replacements that everyone sells?

and for the thread starter: they ddint ask you for the advertisement of the fan you said was 49.99? cause thats kinda odd. but you got lucky though

no they did not ask i was surprised also, i just think that they are in such competition that he didnt want me to even step foot in the other store. It was actually very funny
