2003 Suzuki SV650. Been looking hard for a bike for a little while now, and had a difficult time finding a naked Sv650. Finally found one while buying some gear, it was posted on teh For Sale board. Called on it, and made the deal that night. So excited, but seeing as how this is my first big, also nervous. I suppose I have a chance of finding a tree soon, but I think Im a little more responsible than that.

Nice bike, I have a vintage '84 Kawasaki GPz1100 I brought back from the dead and later blew up a cylinder. Need to rebuild the head on it and get a new piston.

Be safe, and don't be one of those idiots that carry around their helmet on the helmet holder...it goes on your head!

Yea, I definatly dont plan on being a squid. I got a complete set of gear at the same time that I plan on wearing all the time. I dont think I want to do an undertail pipe, but I will be taking off most of that rear splash guard.

Nice bike . I toyed with the idea of getting an SV, but went for the cruiser style.

How long have you been riding? What bikes have you had?

I had a 1978 Honda 550K, previous owner put cams in it and rejetted/balanced the carbs, I put on a header and rebuilt/rejetted/balanced the carbs again. Sold it after I crashed it twice, and rebuilt it to as new. The idiot crashed it the first week he owned it. Junk. :madThen I had a 1984 Goldwing (first year for the 1200!), stripped down it looked cool and went like hell. It was so fast I decided I should stick to cars after crashing one last time (and being VERY happy I wasn't going faster).

First crash was my fault, other two times were people not paying attention and me not being able to stop fast enough (worst thing about bikes)

Looks like a nice bike, don't put in I-pod ear buds with all the stupid people on the roads nowadays, you need everything you've got.

Can't imagine trying to ride now people are horrible drivers now compared to 15 to 30 years ago! ...oh I could go on... and on...

Me either. Then there are the deer, dogs etc. Only on the track.

I didn't mean exhaust tacked in under tail. I ment to eliminate that guard and put a nice undertail piece. Even though a duall exhaust under tail would look killer. But than again it's only my .02$.Cheers!

Nice bike! Those are great looking naked sport bikes. I used to ride, had an EX500 for a beginner bike (and my only source of transportation for over a year, in MARYLAND no less) and then a ZX6-r, I love riding, but like others have said about the traffic, and I agree with Maxnix on this one, at least for me, it would be on the track only. I simply don't have the self restraint to get on a bike and not pin the throttle, but I have been into the idea of owning an Aprillia RS250 (not street legal and they have a spec-series).

That's why I put this baby on my "HO" ST1300 http://www.twistedthrottle.com...7/511/ I it's definately draws attention with its 140dB ....It has worked for me so far. I've avoided a few collisions because of it. I've also scared the shizer of some SOCCER MOMS talking-on-the-phone-fixing-make up-bombs-on-the-road. It is priceless to see the expression on a person's face who just soiled his/hers pants after being attaked by a 140dB horn. Once a cop asked my why such a loud horn...I replied, I don't want to die because of some STUPID JERK in an SUV taking of cell phone or something else. If they don't see me, they will definately hear me
