Yep, an authentic ball-bearing S15 T28. Should make a nice replacement for my blown SR T25. Now I'm just waiting on my Taka oil feed line and my GT series drain flange so I can bolt this guy on there. A new ecu tune and dyno are on the way!

its a blast on the CA. have fun not spooling it until 3600rpm (i enjoy it thoroughly). its like night and day after running a t25. one last thing, that stock maf will be maxed out in no time if youre still running it.

My blown T25 didn't spool til 4k, lol. And no, I am not on the stock maf. I am currently running a Maxima MAF (310hp rating) and 450cc injectors on a reprogrammed ECU.

Darnit I miss mine!!!!!! Grrr, friggin crap getting sucked into mine. And seeing yours really shows how screwd up my blades are. Your compressor blades look all sharp, like they could cut you. Mine were dull looking and notched up.

LOL, not spooled till 3600rpm. That's funny. High compression rules...minus the boost creep. Mine was making a good 5-7psi by 3300rpms. It'd hit a full 14psi way before 4K, about 3800rpm, I'd guess.

It was $695 shipped. His name on ebay is renovaauto. Do a search for "GT28 S15 turbo".

A guy in Orlando, FL socketed my ecu and I made the ecu file myself for the injectors/maf combo. It works okay, but its pretty rich. I am going to get a new one for the new setup.

As for the motor, I sure hope the stock bottom end can handle a T28, lol. Otherwise, I want a different motor!

Can't say I'm not jealous! I paid $600 shipped for my new S14 T28/25 turbo from Japan. I've heard rumors that the only weakness in the CA is that the head gasket will blow @ 300hp, and the head bolts will stretch @ 350 hp. Metal head gasket and ARP head bolts should take care of that problem... but unless you're planning on running some serious boost, those #'s are unlikely. 300 whp is definatly acheivable with the T28!

$900 for a 2871R? Where? When they first came out they were that price. Now the cheapest I could find was $1039 and that didn't include shipping or the local sales tax because he was in FL.

I prefer the S15 turbo as it uses an Inconel wheel instead of the ceramic shattering wheel used in the S14s. And ARP's and MLS headgasket are already on so I should be good to go there. And in all seriousness, if I only make 260-270whp with this turbo, that will be fine for me. I'm not looking for any ET or landspeed records. Just a fun daily driver.
