So I just bought a new 2011 Rogue SL AWD and I am very stoked about it. Drives beautifully. I have a question regarding tires as I am new to the whole wheel/tire compatibilites etc and don't understand it very well.

I had 225/65/17 winter tires on my old Honda that I would just get replaced onto the Honda with the OEM wheels every season.
I would like to put these tires onto my Nissan, but I am confused which winter rim will fit them. 17x7.5? 17x8.5? I don't understand what the second number means exactly, I know I need 5 bolt 114.3 bolt patterns and obviously 17" rims but I don't understand the rest. Any information would be helpful, and I apologize if this question has already been asked or is in the wrong forum. Thank you.

The more serious question is the TPMS....Rogue can work with only 4 sensors at a time. If you install new wheels"

-with new set of four TPMS, then you need to match these sensors with the car EACH TIME you change the tires

-without new TPMS, then you basically need a black electric tape to cover the TPMS warning on the dash board.

Welcome to our forum by the way.

I realize that the tpms light will be on, and i'm not too concerned with that. I'm just confused with the tires.

I'm guessing the 7.5 would mean width. I will not fit on the rogue sl tires you would have to swap wheels to make them fit.
But you probably would have to worry about the tmps if you are gonna swap the wheels. The wheels will fit the newer Honda are 100x5 and I believe the rogues are the same.

I figure the only thing with the TPMS will be the fact the indicator will be on inside the car while the winters are on. I have seen this confirmed on a lot of sites, thats the only issue.

My question is WHAT RIM will fit my Rogue SL with 225/65/17 tires?

Hi there, glad to have you onboard the NICO Rogue forum!

Most if not all of what you desire can be found in the glossary of existing threads! Here is a thread with a wheel and tire fitment chart that should give you the answers you require, take a look:

And don't forget about the winter tire thread:

BTW, I run Nokian Hakkapeliitta R SUV snow tires in the Rogue S tire size (215/70R16) on 16x6.5 steel wheels. 16" snows are typically cheaper than larger/wider sizes. You also want the narrowest tire you can fit... the goal is to cut through and compact the snow not surf on top of it with overly wide tires.
