Finally got my "dream car", an '05 STi. I've wanted the STi since like '99 when I was still like 14 and most of my friends were just like what the hell is a Subaru. When I graduated from high school, since I couldn't afford a WRX (since the STis weren't out yet) I got the next best thing, the 240SX. But now that I can afford the STi, I finally got one. I want to keep my S14 but my parents keep asking me what I need 2 cars for when I only have 1 body to drive with. So now I might have to sell my S14 :[But here are some pics of my babies

STi - Mod lightly and enjoy a quick daily with a warranty and 4 doors.

240 - Streetable race car.

Do it.

Nice STI, good to snap up a new '05 like that before the hideous '06's get shipped over.

Congrats, go check out NASIOC.

Just get liability on the 240.At least have it in case you are modding your subaru or even if your parents car break down.If you wait till FF3 make some more $$$

i'd sell the 240 and dump some cash into the impreza. unless its like a s13 those are cheap and not worth much so its ok to keep. but an s14 is worth like 4-6k that can really really help with car payments/mods.

looks good hope you have fun with it and be careful with it. 2 guys just totaled their 240s in our forum =/.

HashiriyaS14: I'm on NASIOC, if you're on there, I'm EarlQHan

Florida240sx: I do only pay liability on the 240 :X since my parents paid $4500ish when they bought the car. But with the mods, I should wait to sell my S14 and try to get as much as I can after the FF3/drift craze. BTW, when does that come out? If I did sell it, it would really help me with insurance, some money I've slowly been paying back my parents for helping me pay for the swap, and a few bolt-ons for the Subaru.

Juujai: Thanks for the advice, yeah, I've always driven my 240 with care, but it doesn't mean I don't like to drive at WOT when I can and do a few 3rd/4th gear pulls getting on to the highway ;] But for the most part I'm generally a safe driver (I've even been told my cars are being wasted on me because I drive like a 70 year old man at times) :P

Hey Doomed, I live in the NW subarbs of Illinois and was interested in buying a clean 240. If you do become interested in selling your car send me an email, I'd really be interested so if so we can try and work out a deal. Drop me an email sometime, thanks ([email protected]

I'm "WanganRunner" on there, but I haven't posted in ages.

The insurance was what killed my WRX ownership experience too. More than $5000/year to insure that thing. My S14 costs less than half that.

I almost bought a STi. My 240 was acting up but with a little tweaking its running like a champ. So the dire need for a new car passed. Also I'm attempting to buy a house and in Los Angeles that's quite a feat. I need every penny I can scrounge. Anyway, my 25th Birthday present to myself will be a nice used blue 05 STi. Just another 8 months. As long as the mortgage payments aren't way over what I'm expecting. It seems like they are going to need a STi forum here soon.

I like the new (06) Imprezas. The STI is a great car but I think I'm more of an EVO guy (even though I've never even been in either). I feel alot more broke now.

Same here. I cant even afford a stock ca18 swap. I know if I REALLY wanted to, I could work more or find another job, but I refuse to work myself to death just yet for car stuff. lol

WRX/STi or G35 are the only other cars I would get right now if I could. Im a wrx/sti addict LOL

Looks like you have the best of both worlds (240sx and STi) [at least for right now]. Congrats man.

Love the Sti. Haven't seen the 06's, but I'm not suprised they would **** it up.

I'd rather have the GC8 Sti anyday.

Thanks all.

GhostDriver: I already know 3 people with Evos, ride's too harsh for a DD, interior is a POS.

Neejay: I was also looking at a G35 but after the options I wanted MSRP was almost 40K

Henry G: Yeah, got to love the GC8s, that's what turned me on to STis in the first place. Thinking of the 22Bs just makes me want to throw up because they're so gross (in a very good way)

D Money: Haha, that's an awesome vanity plate

Man, you are so luck to get a STI I love that car. I was wondering how much you want for your 240sx and the future mods you want to add to your Subaru. I bet it will look sweet and the funny thing is I will be one of the first people to see it because I live 2 houses down. The one with the silver Nissan maxima SE.

LOL, so you're the guy who moved in? My friend Omar was telling me he had to clean the place up for the new people moving in. If you haven't seen Omar's cars, he's got a black S13 hatch and a JDM Fairlady Z (240Z). Hey, if you ever see Alex (G35 sedan owner) and me talking, just stop by and say hi.
