i just bought a 1990 240sx with a DOHC swap and it doesnt run right, it is hard to rev, and has no power. idk who did the swap but it wasnt done very good, i cant figure out whats wrong with it, it seems like a timing issue, theres also a couple things that arent connected, theres a sensor and an o2 sensor thats unplugged

i never uploaded pics before so sorry if i dont do it right!

i have no idea what this sensor is, its just laying there doing probably nothing, any ideas?

this is the o2 sensor, its on the #1 exhaust pipe, does it need to be connected?

forgot to mention, the engine was rebuilt i guess, so the distributer was out and the chains were off which leads me to believe something is a tooth off. is that a hard fix?

Sounds like you're on the right track. Probably a good idea to double check the ignition then engine timing. Not able to recall what that connector normally runs to.

Timing adjustment isn't bad. You could probably look at one of the head gasket replacement guides and start where it describes re-timing the engine. Just be careful ... this is an interference engine :)

I don't know if it's more commonly screwed up. Definitely easier to fix if it's wrong though.
