Went out to the track on Tuesday for test and tune. Since last time the only things I changed were that I took the extra fuel out up top, dropped tire pressure down to 25psi, and tuned the nitrous setup. It was running 11.5 afrs up top so that's an improvement over the low 10s. However, I was still spinning badly way out past the 60' all through 1st and 2nd. Although the nitrous is now keeping me from bogging and I have full boost shifting into 3rd. I did notice at the top of third I'm still bleeding off pressure. It was hitting 20psi and quickly dropping down to 15psi. I checked again for boost leaks and didn't find any. I still suspect the oem recirc valve. Drag radial are going to make a huge difference.

My old slip: My new slip:R/T 1.232 .93860' 2.238 2.118330' 6.035 5.7781/8 9.071 8.72MPH 82.92 84.901000 11.601 11.2011/4 13.761 13.320MPH 104.81 104.44

Well if you get the launch setup right you can cut a Full second off your time. Your 1/8th mile is SUCKY!!! With my setup I pull 1.6 60's, and 7.80 @91 in the 1/8th and thats on 10lbs of boost. So drag radials will help you alot. Also if your not on stock suspension you should try that also, Will cut down on wheel spin and give you alot better track times.

Your pulling the same MPH in the 1/8th that I was pulling on 4lbs of boost. So the first half of the track is killing you.

What type of gauges are you using?

My gauge I bought from Oreily's Sucked, It kept telling me I was leaking down boost also. But i went to an Autometer gauge setup and its steady as can be now.

I'm using an autometer boost gauge so I think I'm good there. I can actually feel the car slow down a little when it starts bleeding off boost. I've also begun tire shopping. I'm thinking a 26" tire on a 15 or 16 inch wheel.

As for the bov, I think I'm going to give this a shot. http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_bov_mod.html If that doesn't work I'm going with the Greddy type rs.

a 26" tire is what i run. Should be good with that. I would run 15" wheels if all possible. That will help you in the 1/8th mile also. I would run NO less that 8.5-9.0" wide tire.

I'd like to find a pair of 15x8 draglites with 5.5 backspacing. Over the winter I couldn't go through the local Mustang forum without tripping over a hundred pairs. Now that it's summer it seems like they never existed.

I found a set of draglites I just traded for.

They have 275-50-15's on the rear. I have not got to try them yet. They are BFG drag radials.

Next time I'm in TN remind me to hit you. I've been looking since spring and can never find a set for a reasonable price.

ya there extremely hard to find. The best place I have seen so far is Ebay. There seems to always be some 4 lug ones on there.
