my 240 got tataled about a month ago so i have been driving my crx since then (i don't know how people actually enjoy driving that go kart everyday) it really makes me wonder why people actually like a car that drives the way that thing does. anyways back to the story, on monday my grandmother comes over in her brand new ford taurus and gives me her old car, a 1992 Toyota Paseo its a cool little car, its automatic, in good mechanical condition with lots of new parts, and best of all it was absolutely free, all i had to do was be a good grandson for 20 years. the best thin is that this is a great daily driver and i get a head start on saving up for my next 240!!! i did some research on the car and i think i found a total of 6 bolt on parts for it. its gonna be kept stock but i thought it might be interesting to know

The paseo actually has a lot more guts than what some of you guys may think. My friend had one b4 he bought his gsr and it was hauling lots of honda asses and sers. Of course he was lucky the ser messed up his launch, but a loss is a loss. Paseo's are actually pretty quick mofos...drop in the infamous toyota's 3sgte in there and you'll see it fly by quicker than a 240 with an sr20 could stock for stock.

You might not want to bad-mouth the CRX too much. I suspect a well kept early CRX or a CRX SI will be pretty valuable some day.

Think Austin Mini Cooper.

Not very many inexpensive cars from the '80s and early '90s will get there.

crx's have retained value extraordinarily well. Its tough to find a 88-91 for less than 3 grand in good condition.

I liked my CRX. It was a fun little car, and relatively quick for the 1.6 liter engine that it had in it. For 2 grand you can drop in a b16a, and be up to 170 hp in a 2000 lb car. not bad if you ask me.

2000 pounds is the magic number. It is far easier to make a 2000lb car accelerate, turn, and stop than the 3000lbs most "sports" cars weigh.

Guess why early Datsun 240Zs are still competative in many forms of racing. They always get a weight advantage over newer cars.

At least untill I get in it.

the crx was cool at first but the ride in the 240 is sooo much nicer and the whole rwd thing is a lot more fun. oh yeah crx's don't have power steering either so when you drive a car that has power steering you know what youre missing. the crx is going to be for sale next month, i cant take the damn thing!!!
