maybe its just me, but I've never heard supra and reliable go together (excluding the 2JZ motor

Stick with the 240 and enjoy the corners

IMO thats not even a choice, the 240 would be the only way to go. I mean if its your daily driver, 240's are smooth, have great handling, and would be easier on gas than the supra. Plus the interior will be much nicer.

The thing that sucks is that turbo, if your not running 20+ pds of boost its kinda a waist.. Still, it would be some sick delayed gratification as your WFO waiting for boost and then it hits.. t4 style ^^

egh... i kinda like the t4 turbos... easy to lay off boost.. and when you wanna punch it, boost is a downshift away... 8)

It's too easy. Stick with the 240. If not for the fact that it's a lighter more aftermarket supported car. Then just for the plain fact that it looks 1,000,000 times better. Those old Supra's didn't look good in the 90's, what makes you think they look good now in 2007.

Personally, I'd roll the 240, but you gotta drive it and fix it so pick the most mechanically sound one or the easiest to be made so.Good luck.

well first of all 240 is a 95 and supra is 89You can always take the turbo off and throw a smalled one on. No disrespect to Toyota. They make some good cars too.

Depending on condition, work done, reliability, and car taste. I would go with the 240. Especialy if its well taken care off. Nothing wrong with zenki they look really nice.

one car is 6 years newer than the other one so that's something else to consider. i would say see which one is cheaper to insure, test drive both, get em checked out mechanically and go from there. from an aesthetic point of view, i feel that the 240 would be the better choice since i feel its a bit more modern..................especially the interior.

Thats true but check this out.. the supra is painted, the head is built, arp studs and metal headgasket..t04r turbo, rims, system, act stage 3 clutch. etc.. all id have to do is put gas in and drive. the 240 has minor internals, fmic, bov, emanage, t70 on 8lbs.. my problem is i can trust the supra more as a DD on boost, but i jus love s14's but dont wanna go thru any problems with the boost..

WOW, this is such a simple decision dude.

Sure MKIII are nice I owned one for about a year and sold it as soon as I laid eyes on my S12 .

So like I said simple decision. Take the S14 and be done with it ..

the mileage on the ka-t is 96k and the supra is 54k hence the 7m-gteU type a motor.. (-_-).. Supra is re-painted, rims, re-done instrument panel and gauges.. pretty clean.. the s14 has inside pretty stock except the boost controller and turbo timer in the dash...

I've driven the 240 and a SKyline with big turbo's on both. Neither spooling before 4800 rpm. Both were insanely fun and you'll still get gas mileage.

I like the MKIII Supra and the stock motor handles quite a bit of power.

But since power isn't the immediate goal and I happen to love my S14...you know what my choice is.

Keep the T70, a coupl eyears from now when you want big boost, you just need to tune it.

Price on them? Might be better off getting a stock 240sx then havng a shop do an ls1 swap. Very reliable.

From the sound of (Supra_turbo) replies, it sounds like he really wants the Toyota, and waiting on someone to talk him out of it. I personally would pick the S14 just cause that's the car that i like. but you need to pick the car that YOU really want or you'll regret it down the road.

both Toyota and nissan are good cars

I personally love Supra's...always have. But I've been involved with Nissan for to long now to switch over. That and I love my S14
