Well, after scoping out the Z32 forum, found that there is a Z meet in April 70 miles south of me in San Antonio, I think that fits my time line. I hope Any one else doing the VH swap here in TX in a Z?I know there is at least one S/VH swap going on up in north Texas, but curiuos if anyone else is down on attending with a swap. If I am the only swap there, I will get beat like prison inmate by all the Z lovers. Why do purists hate us swapers so much?

Anyone know what Slim did for p/s and a/c on his ttvhZ? (One of my current issues)Thanx, craig

For the power steering I'm planning on using an electric pump from a Toyota MR2. For the a/c... that one was a bit more difficult since, like the p/s, its on the opposite side compared to the VG. At the time I was planning on just running new lines since someone put that R134 junk in my Z before I got it and I wanted to dump that for the good R12.

You could possibly have a custom bracket made to mount the Z's a/c on the VH, that would be a relatively easy route.

If you can get the car running by April for a Z meet there you should most definitely try making it up to Branson, MO from May 7-11 for the Branson Z Fest. Its an awesome meet for Z guys and I would love to see a VH Z32 as I won't have mine going yet. I'll definitely have a hybrid Z32 there though... just not like what most people would think (the purists may actually give me more hell on my swap than they would you )

What can you tell me about the MR2 pump?Is the Z's a/c compressor smaller than the Q's? I have the Q's big, in the way compressor, but have neither p/s unit.

MO is a long way from Central Texas, but time will tell.

There are going to be people coming from Colorado and Arizona and have actually had people come out from coastal states in the past... and this year... may even have someone flying in from a different country for BZF... so its definitely worth the drive.

As far as the MR2 pump... the best I can tell you is that they always used an electric power steering pump since the engines were always in the back. Since you only need wiring to run it you can mount it in a somewhat remote location freeing up room around the engine block.

Have you considered looking at the Toyota Prius? I heard it has an electric A/C compressor?

Prius????? I try not to run them over with my daily driver(4wd 99 2500 suburban)I hate those cars with a passion!I would hate it if that was the best swap for a/c and or p/s. But then again, part of hotrodding is using the most unusual parts to make a bada$$ ride that beats up on the rich boys for a fraction of the cost.

I am looking at these pieces in my shop that I can adapt and are small in size.P/S-- SHO pump, is small as hell and will fit great (even though it is for a FWD)a/c have two from Sho's that are a lot smaller in size than the Q's, I have a few alts to choose from-- SHO, and RX7, the RX is the most likely candidate but that is a good amount of fabing,

interesting pics of the 240 setup.

I'm gonna look into that idea, slicing the a/c bracket to make it a p/s mount. Now if only i had a p/s from a z32 I was looking into the SHO's due to its super small size and I have 4 lying around with a few mounts too, and may f up a mount to fit it.
