So I first tried the free version and shortly after bought the full version because it rocks. It's called Gas Cubby and tracks MPG and more. You can input service and maintenance data and see your total cost of operating the vehicle. The free version limits you to 5 entries and the paid is unlimited. Here's some pics of the app. Obviously I dig it and recommend it. If you're at all interested in tracking MPG, fuel price trends, and operating costs this is the app for you. Plus you can have multiple vehicles and look at them individually or as a group.

I just got a 3GS I jailbroke it and got this app. You can change the units from Miles/gallons to km/L in the settings menu.

Good App Thanks for recommending

Even if it didn't allow conversion, you could just enter the liters instead offgallons. The labels would be wrong, but the numbers would be right.

Does it support multiple vehicles? And the GF buying gas? ;-)

Me, I want the dumbest cell phone I can find, built like an anvil.

I want the Viper iPhone system. You can lock the car, unlock the car, start the engine, stop the engine, pop the trunk (even tho that's a useless feature for the R50) and even receive alerts when the alarm is tripped. That is f***in sweet.

EDIT: After having read this post, I realized that I should have wired up the trunk popping wire from my alarm system to the rear hatch glass so it would pop that open. Damn.

Okay I don't want to start one of these 'iphones are the best ever' arguments, I think they are awsome phones but I couldn't leave verizon so got the motorola droid. It has this app also. And no the android market doesn't compare yet its growing by the day. Its a pretty cool app. You can also get an app to estimate your horsepower. Its not exact but neat to play with. It rated me at 279 at the crank. You can set it to estimate wheel hp also.
