got a busted 240

hey out there, I own an 89 240SX coupe and its busted to ****... don't know if its the timing or something else... It sounds just like a diesel Jetta!!! Runs rough, no idea what it could be... HELP!!!!!!

Need more info!! Does it run and make noise or not run at all? If it rattles from the frt. of the engine it could be a timing chain if it has alot of miles. If it has no power and won't go over 30-40 mph this could also be the timing chain that may have jumped a couple of links and have the timing out. If run this way you can bend valves if it is a timing chain problem.

It runs... but not well, its got 102,000 miles on it... it's rattling real good... can't think of anything else it could be other than the timing chain. I don't know how to do a timing chain... I've never had to do one before... Advice would be greatly appreciated!
