Either leave it and get a new one or drop the oil pan and take it out. All the 10mm bolts holding the pan in are easy to reach and you only need to lift the engine up a few inches to slide the pan out.

That kinda looks like a question and if it is I'd love to answer it. Is it?

Well its too big to be picked up by the oil pickup tube, its rubber, so if it comes in contact with a moving crankshaft, it loses and doesnt damage the crank, so i dont really see why you would hurt anything leaving it down there. I mean, most SOHCs have half of their lower timing chain guides floating around the oil pan anyhow, might as well give that some company!!

Remove the front cover or use a long reach claw type tool if you can see it. Probably best to pull the timing cover though.

No - it probably won't hurt anything. But having said that, if it were my car I would remove it anyway.

Removing the front cover is far more complicated than removing the oil pan. Not to mention the fact that you must drop the oil pan in order to reintall the front cover anyway.
