Wow, that is a nice ride. Too bad I would never be able to get it registered/insured as a US 240 (livin in CA). But damn! Hey, does anyone know what rims those are...?

Ok folks, did any of you bother to read the auction? It's a 240 with RHD conversion. It's not even a complete 180 conversion. rofl.

Seems like he did a good job on the conversion though. It's still a nice car IMO...

It's a so-so conversion. Paint can hide a lot of stuff. He didn't do RHD wiper conversion, the interior is not complete RHD as well. Yes the dash and console, but the console below the gauge cluster is not correct. I bet his reserve is set at about 10 grand (just a guess) and that is way to much for what you get.

cause RHD is just a cool thing, all a matter of opinion, and yes the car has a clean install, and no there wouldnt be a problem registering it as it IS an AMERICAN US MARKET 24o

Well RHD is very impractical in the US. The DOT and road safety laws, regulations, road layouts are all designed for LHD vehicles. That's just the way it is. So if all JDM cars were LHD would that make them less special? RHD is JDM? Not in my opinion. It all depends on the market the car is sold in and the traffic layout that market is designed for.

Yes that 240 on ebay would have no problem being registered anywhere, it already is and it already has US vins and stickers (DUH). But for those of you who are duped that it is a 180 conversion...it's not. The firewall swap looks clean, but paint can hide a lot of crap. And, for the price I bet the reserve is it, you don't get very much.

I only thougt I couldn't register it because at first glance, I mistaked it for a JDM 180. Once I actually read the listing, I found out it started life as LHD 240, hence it could be registed (this was after I made that first post)... But yeah, i agree that aside from either the shock factor/rarity this car might hold, RHD is still pretty impractical for the US...

impractical yes, but you can't deny it gives it a lil extra kick in the cool factor, hell if i were it import a skyline or something i wouldnt convert it to LHD for convenienve, of coures i wouldnt convert one to RHD for 'coolness' either

Of course I wouldn't change a Skyline to LHD. That's like a sin! I also do think that rolling in a RHD car would definetly set you apart from others. Still, no more trips to McDonalds or even Burger king for that matter... at least by yourself.

good, i could lose the wieght, but any car for that matter, not worth a conversion, now conversion to make the driver's seat in the middle, mclaren style, thats a thought, my lawnmower came stock with that!

they have a 24osx in my neigborhood that has a japanese licenese plate on the front of it, and on the back taillamp cover it says '18osx' instead of 24osx, the car is also right hand drive, so i get all excited thinking it might actaully be a converted 18osx,but then i see on the side glass it says '24osx' , people doing these 'conversions' should get the 18o glass, itd make it much more convincing

to do that rhd conversion, don't you have to cut out the whole firewall and weld in a JDM one? doesn't that pretty much kill your frame strength wise?

Maybe I just think different.

But that= teh stupid.

Why in the hell would you convert your car to RHD? Do you want to be the coolest postman in your county, or what?

It's retarded. There is absolutely Zero benefit to having RHD, and I can think of lots of negative points. (shifting with the wrong hand, for example. I'd never get used to it.) So you tear up your car, making it possibly structurally unsound, a kahmahamaya beyotch to drive, and obscenely expensive and for what? So you can look cool rollin' into Burger King? Oh, well it all makes sense now...
