Does anyone have any experience with these tires Eagle GT (245 45 18) in rain, snow or even just dry. They are pretty new.

Your opinions are appreciated.

Thanks.

Jim

This added link will help you get more responses on this tire: http://www.goodyeartires.com/g...l=BSW

Though, even I have yet to have ever seen this tire. It looks as though they changed the tread pattern of the Goodyear GT. I think it was a different tread pattern in the past, but with the same name.

The F1 GS D3 are pretty good.

Some of the others are pretty bad.

Strange to see an asymmetric tread design on an "A-S" designated tire.

I have a set of Eagle GTs but in the sport package 19" size. We have had a lot of snow and ice here in the midwest over the past week, and these tires did OK in the snow, but sucked like mad on ice (as expected). If you live in a place where it snows often, I would suggest a winter tire. We only typically get snow 2-3 times per year here, so I could not justify winter rubber... at least not this year.

All in all, I like the GTs... they have great traction on wet, are pretty quiet on the highway, and should last long (400 or 440 tread rating, can't remember). They also have had plenty of good reviews on tirerack.com and discounttiredirect.com.

Good choice for under $200 per tire (in my case).
