Hi Folks,

I have done a good amount of tire research on this message board as well as Tirerack.com, and I wanted to get some Murano owners' opinions as I get ready to purchase a new set of tires for my '09 Murano SL.

My OEM Tires (Bridgestone Duelers, 235/65/18) have done OK, and at 56K miles have given me solid tire life. They do hydroplane slightly in heavy rain and I am not very impressed with their handling in the snow.

I am looking at 2 options currently:

1. Yokohama Parada Spec-X
2. Goodyear Eagle LS

The Yokohamas come very highly rated and reviewed on Tire Rack. The road noise and handling both seem excellent. It also sounds as though they perform well in rain and snow.

The Goodyears are OEM tires on many vehicles these days, but seem to be rated quite poorly (most reviews say they ar very noisy, and they wear out in under 20K miles). However, of the reviews I read on TireRack from Murano owners, they rated well and the Murano owners were satisfied.

My question is, does anyone have experience with either of these tires on their Murano, and would you recommend one over the other? My Nissan dealer is currently running a special "buy 3, get the 4th for $1" for a set of the Goodyears. For about $75 more, I could order the Yokohamas from TireRack and have them installed locally, so from a price standpoint, there's not a ton of difference betwee the Goodyears and Yokos.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback. Thanks!!

Will

Yokos all the win.

Reviews and tech specs aside the construction of the Parada is superior to the LS. I was a tire tech at Goodyear for many years and I only use Goodyears on all of my cars but the LS was always more of a budget car tire. With the size of the sidewall your Murano needs the LS is just not a well suited tire.

Good Luck with the hunt.
