I have the same rims as your Black Q45T. One of my center cap fell of one day and I have been driving around with only three for a couple of months now. My rims from afar look real good, but up close you can see the chrome coming off. I like them a lot believe it or not. I always thought that if can make a car stock and pristine it would look as good as any partially modded car. Also I like the drive on these stock rims. I don't mind not impressing people because I don't have Donk Rims... . I went to the junk yard to see if they have it but they didn't. Is there any chance you may know where to get replacements?

Heres the thing, I said to myself, I would

A) Rechrome the rims orB) Purchase 18"s in similar design

Which do you think would be cheaper?

I figured since I may be needing new shocks soon, I would lower the car a tad bit, maybe an 1" max, and the stocks wouldn't look bad. What you think? Thanks.

A decent quality 18" wheel is going to cost about $1,200 - $1,400 plus tires at $850 or more.

Are we talking piepans?

.....or the G35 rims?

There's a set of nice looking piepan center caps on ebay for $80 right now. I have the 90Q set listed on Craigslist for $120 but I hadn't planned on shipping them. Road trip to SacTown?

If it's the G35 wheels (don't think so) you can get the center caps at the stealership.

It would be very expensive to rechrome. I bet you could buy a whole Q in the San Diego area, swap wheels and tires, and donate the remainder to charity for cheaper. Not right now, but there always seems to be a cheap Q or two listed on Craigslist San Diego.

Yeah, thats why I didn't want to do that. Thats a lot of money considering what I'm getting and the way the economy is doing. I just couldn't justify $2,000 on wheels and tires at this point even if I had the extra cash to do it. I would like to rechrome my own, because I heard it could be done for about $150 a wheel. Which isn't bad since it would look real good, very OEM, and still have the ride quality it was intended to have. On the other hand, if I acquired 18"s down the line for under or about $600 to $800 or even less used then I wouldn't mind. Craigslist has been good to me thus far.

If you can find 18'' tires worth having for $850 you're doing very well. I'd say more like $1200 (assuming you don't buy from tirerack or other discount shippers).
