Goodbye s13-Long story

So, i have had a horrible misfortune with my s13, well after it was dying down an problem after problem i finally fixed it, i was really happy ran strong and even had a nice pull to it. It finally was running without problems so me an my roomate decided to go out too some windy deserted roads back in the sticks.

This was the worst decision EVAR! So im driving an jus really getting used too my car an on how it handles, the body roll, stuff like that (NOT DRIFTING) well my roomate decided too drive, he has more experience driving an i thought he was a "good" driver. (he is a fellow niconaut, so he will pry read this) h So he started taking turns pretty fast, the car actually was handling not too bad for its stockish parts, but one turn he hit understeer bad bad bad....well we flew off the side of the road, nearly striking a tree, the treadmarks were so close to the tree it was unbelievable, as we went off the side of the road there was a drop about five feet an we struck a huge fence post. My windshield was smashed to **** an that was the first thing i noticed so i made sure he was alright an i got out of the car becuase i seen headlights around a house. as i made it up the side of the road reaching ashpalt, my roomate yells that my cars on fire.... the exhuast tip was so hot it cuaght the brush on fire an my car was instantly in flames, we called 911 immediatly, but it was wayyy too late. i had to watch my car burn off in the night... luckily we were both oki actually got pics from my crappy cell phone when the car was on the tow truck...

An for the record, iam not proud of what happened, iam ashamed of my actions, it was irresponsible and luckily no one got hurt.

that's sad. Your friend should have been more responsible than to push your car to its limits which he obviously couldn't handle. And you learned a valuable lesson about letting other people drive your car when they're going to be driving like a jack ***. Sucks about the car though, really. Is he going to man up and help you get a new one? Or will he be like so many other "friends" in this world that'll help you destroy it then walk away trouble free?

Just a note on that. I spent a week in Canada about 2 years ago and let my mom use my car for that week.

Well when I got home I didn't have a car anymore. She insists it got ran over by a truck while she was driving but I don't know... she was ok but the car was totaled.

Sad to hear 'bout your car. Hopefully you'll be able to find one to replace it. Strangely enough a friend and I were out driving last night too...but I said "f*ck no" to him driving. At least you still have your health though....make your friend buy you a new 240.

Yeah he actually is helping me buy another 240, and next week i should be picking it up.

its an 95 SE s14, 113k on the chassis an motor, 5zigen rims, tokico shocks i believe, im picking it up for $2500, clean title, 5 speed.





Its been sitting for a while, i test drove it yesterday , but it needs a cleaning really bad.

I agree with this. There's nothing wrong with letting someone use your car. As long as it's a slow truck or ford tarus or they're making a beer run for you while you're at work. As long as you trust them and, you know they're not going to drive like morons.And you can drive a car aggressively without pushing it. My friend from the service let me try out his Solstice GXP a few weekends ago, and I took a curvey road with some aggression, but I wasn't heal toeing or attempting drifts or anything like that. I left the TCS on and just carried enough speed in to make you feel it, and let the turbo spool up through the apex. I knew the road, though, and I also know how to drive. Plus I didn't wanna destroy my good buds brand new 30k dollar car.

my BF and step dad are the only two other than myself who can and are allowed to drive my car. Even my Step dad has limits as to what I let him drive it..... He misses his GNX a bit too much.
