Go to a pound or a pet store, there are SO many more cocker spaniels then pitbulls.

How many deaths have there been by cocker spaniel attacks? How many from Pitbulls?
He said there are more BITES by cocker spaniels.. Not deaths.

Thank you Pyroniak. Red Coupe you just like to pick fights so I'm not going to humor. If you want those stats you can go ahead and look for them yourself.

Thats kinda the point though.

maybe terriers crap on your carpet the most....

What we are really talking about is how dangerous the dog is... That has always been the topic at hand, he just threw in that there has been more bites by cocker spaniels.... Which is irrelevant because there are more cockerspaniels in the first place, and even if the dog completely snaps they present almost no danger.

Really, you do a great job. It's hard to believe that you are a normal *non-troll* poster. In reality you are probably the greatest, longest running troll of any auto forum on the internets. You've successfully trolled hundreds, possibly thousands of members.... most of whom, have been trolled multiple times. I mean, you scored like 10+ in just this thread.

I hate that the dog had to be put down but it was for the best. The abuse had taken its toll and the damage was irreversible.

Everyone who takes their anger out on their pets should DIAF.

Animals kill humans and are still seen as so cute. But a human who murders is seen as the devil.

And the reason for that is the thing that defines the difference between human and animal.

i'm going to leave these here

somewhere between 80-100 pounds. any nico member that has been to my house can attest to how well behaved and not dangerous my dog is. pit bulls have played a major role in american history as farm dogs and they helped search out many wounded soldiers after battles.

red coupe, your argument about how many deaths are caused by pit bull attacks is irrelevant. their size makes them capable of causing a death. if terriers were bigger, they'd cause more deaths. besides, there are larger dogs biting more people than pits. go attack rottweilers, dobermans, golden retrievers, and labs. oh, i forget, those are the dogs of choice for the po-po, they can't be slandered. and golden retrievers? why the media touts them as loving family dogs, there's no way they can be dangerous.

it pisses me off that the public's, as well as the media's, quick actions to slander pits results in their horrible public image. and i know for a fact that a lot of reported pit bull attacks are committed by dogs that aren't pit bulls. many people just throw that breed under the bus following an attack, almost like it's a natural reaction, or that a bite automatically identifies a dog as a pit bull.

Again, that is THE WHOLE POINT. Read my posts, not just part of them... I even started off by saying that I'm not in the "all pitbulls are out for blood" camp.

I was just pointing out that posting statistics about how many more bites are caused by cockerspaniels is an irrelevant way to argue stupidity with stupidity due to the fact that not only are their more of the one breed then the other, but the severity of attack is no where near the same....

I KNOW that number of deaths from attack is only because a pitbull is much stronger... but it doesn't matter. The fact is that for the most part a small dog choosing to attack you is not much more then an inconvenience, and can in no way be compared with an attack from a much larger more powerful breed.

I am NOT here arguing that all pitbulls present a tremendous danger to the public, simply that how many dog bites were caused by cockerspaniels last year has NOTHING to do with the fact that a pitbull can present significant danger if improperly raised, much more so then a small toy dog.

ok, so his dog wasn't properly restrained and allowed to walk around the neighborhood freely. this dog then enters someone else's yard, gets into a fight with the resident dog and this guy shoots this other dog and he's innocent? isn't that a bit lenient? why is it ok, because he's a cop? because the other dog was a pit bull mix? it's a mutt, why does pit bull have to be called out. what if it were half collie, why not say it was a collie mix? that's bulls***.

I respect outcome as there are facts I still don't know. Without trial details, I'm with Hooch's family, "I didn't see it coming." Much that I sympathized with Officer Wooton and a sad waste of a profession if he lost his case, I felt it would set a dangerous precedent if he won: Would this legal outcome give license for all the neighbourhood little yappers to escape loose, come into our yards to harass our big dogs (snoozing, playing, chowing, minding their own business) into getting angry at them (dogs are pack animals and some don't always tolerate 'intruder' dogs outside the family pack), so yapper dog owners can come over onto our yards and slug our dogs in the chest – with absolutely no consequence?

I'll never understand the fascination with small dogs. I have a pitt, and my wife has some little rat dog. The only small dogs I've ever found amusing are Jack Russel Terriers and that's just because they never run out of energy and they're still pretty obedient. Great kid dogs.

LOL.. Don't know why, but for some reason, when you mentioned Pugs, I had a flashback of my pre-deployment leave when my friend was trying to show off on his bike, and he hit my mom's pikapoo at about 70mph when it ran out in front of him. Dog was knocked unconscious and he went sliding around 100 feet on pavement. Dog is fine.. it had a busted nose. He had some road rash and a bruise on his heart, but it is just another example of how small dogs lack common sense.
