Something happened at work tonight somewhere between midnight and about 3:30 that has pushed my plans for a 240 very near in the future...I walked outside and my Z was missing!!! My baby is gone!!!!:( I called the cops and insurance, hopefully I'll have about 15 grand to play with in the next week...so not all is lost, but I did have alot of valuable stuff in my car that I will really miss: all my cds my gold rope chain(bling bling) my Citizen watch my Oakley sunglasses a couple of borrowed dvdsAll that was in my car equals to about 1800 dollars(mostly the watch and the chain)...I will miss my poor car, but hopefully the insurance will be nice enough to reimburse the aftermarket parts on my car...Stupid thieves:mad:

Thats harsh dude. My condolences. I hope they catch the bastards who stole it, and give you the insurance money for it.

That's horrible..

In mexico when they catch thieves in the act sometimes a bunch of guys get together and beat them to death. It might be worthy then to import more than Corona from them.

That reminds me of a hilarious post I read on the RX-7 forums a while back, this guy and his father both work for the same company, and every day they'd go in and park in the same parking garage and ride the train to work, well, the son owned a RX-7 and he got back from work before his father did, so anyways, he gets off the train and sees this guy trying to steal his rims. So he walks over and says hey there, ya got a flat? You want some help? I have tools over in my car. So the guys like, um, sure. So the RX-7 owner walks over to his dads car, opens the trunk ( they each had keys for each others cars ) gets out a tire iron, walked back over and beat the **** out of the would be thief with it. Ahhh, things like that just make me feel happy. I'm sorry about your Z and I hope everything works out, if you find the thief you should cut off his hands...

No...i think i want something a little lighter...240sx:) Since the insurance will be giving me about 15 grand I figure this:2500 down payment on a Nissan X-terra(for my wife)4000 for a 1995 240sx (i found one for a great deal)about 8500 into modifying the car:)

Japan will test your principles. I can't count the number of times i have pulled into a Lawson(like a 7-11) and there is a full tune GT-R just sitting there, running, with the owner in the bathroom or something! If I were a heartless guy I could get a lot of parts that way but I know how bad I would feel if my car got swiped and there is no way i could do something cold blooded like that. I hate theives with a passion, they steal more than things, they steal peoples dreams and the only thing I can think of worse than that is rape or murder. I hope the insurance company comes up off that big money bag for you.

consider checking some 300zx boards for parts from your area. My friend that has a hybrid Z belongs to a bunch of z sites, and apparently someone on one of them got his 240 stolen. He went on the site a while later (a few weeks) and saw a bunch of familiar parts being parted off a z from his area... Of course he looked at the photo and besides the strange house it was his Z! Anyways, the guy gave his address and everything so the cops would know right where to find him :) its a long shot but theres always a chance :) somebodys gotta buy the parts

Hey guys...sorry to bring this thread back from the dead..but I have an update...Friday my car was found!!!It's been sitting in a parking lot abandoned in Garland(suburb of Dallas) run out of gas, and tempory tags on it from a local car dealer. Its been sitting there since last Monday or so...looks like some kids decided to take it joyriding.Anyway, my wife is out looking at it, seeing if it will be totaled or not...I doubt my stuff will be in there, but the car will probably still be in good shape...I really have mixed feelings...on one hand I get my baby back(please don't sing) and on the other, I was kind of looking forward to that big fat check from the insurance company and buying a 240...oh well at least I know i'm not jumping on the nissan bandwagon when I do eventually buy a 240, since I already own one....

well its good to hear that they found ure car and it wasnt stripped and crap like that, but i understand ure feelings for wanting to put $8500 into a 240 for kix during the day and then the downpayment on the xterra for ure wife would probably get u kix during the night if u have a wife like that :D ;)

In light of Daunts story, I have one.

There is a car club in Jersey which has some VERY quick cars. So there are 4 kids at one house, just hanging out or whatever. They hear a car start up. They all look outside to see a built GS-R hatchback being stolen. They all get in their cars and persue the kids. The kids drive the car almost 45 minutes away, the whole bunch hitting 130 on a highway. So the kids get to Newark, and the guys from the car club manage to corner them. One kid gets out and fires a gun at the car, piercing the back window and knicking the Recaro race seat. The kids manage to get away, and the guys follow them. They loose them for about a minute and as they round a corner they catch a glimpse of a garage door closing. They simply park and wait outside the garage until about 5:00am (the car was stolen at 2). They watch the garage door open and they rush the two kids. They didn't say anything further about the story or what they did to the kids, but they got the car back in one piece (minus a back windsheild and a swiss cheesed Recaro). Either one of the kids is dead or they will never be stealing a car again, because the group of guys that followed them are very brutal, I wouldn't want to cross them whatsoever. The funniest part was that when the kids were cornered, the guy, Chippy, with the gun yelled "If you hand the car over now, only one of you will die". Imagine being like a 15 year old kid and hearing that from a 300lb fat Puerto Rican with a gun. I think one of the kids eventually died, but who knows, they won't say.
