Well not that it was a big deal, but I sold my Ca powered 200sx. I will still be looking for another CA as I have quite a few parts stored away. However the day after I sold my CA I read an email from themadscientist (I was deleting old emails) that made me do a quick search of the German nissan forums. Reading this email might have gotten me in WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY over my head but it was a chance to own something very rare (at least over here in Germany) and I had money waiting to be spent.

So after a two hour drive one way I picked this tank of a motor up in my Trusty Nissan 1988 pickup.

Unfortunately it is not a turbo version but still cool as hell. I got the motor and transmission for about 700 bucks with 140,000 kms on it. I am hoping that with some more time and some change I can give this thing new life. Maybe TMS won't mind helping me out if I throw him some cash

Oh god I just nutted. Thats the engine I would have run had I been able to find one (just in turbo form). Turbo or not, I am very jealous.

Trust me I wished it would have been a turbo too but I was lucky to find this one. I am still trying to figure out if they were abailable here in Germany in turbo form but so far all I have found was the NA version.

I got a AE86 shell that my buddy wants to try and shove this thing into. I am still debaiting on whether or not to put a CA in it or this thing. I still have to get some parts for it before I can do anything though. I will be delivering it this week to see how it fits at least.

The FJ is basically Nissan's firs DOHC 4cyl production motor and it was pretty damn awesome.

Trust me splinter it wasn't planned. I had a buddy ask me when he saw the wheels for sale on it. He came by the next day with a friend of his and the guy looked at is and said he would give me 3200 euros (5000USD) and I said SOLD and I put some crappy wheels on it and kept my veilsides. 5000 for a basically stock 200sx with cusco suspension, ebay strut bars, and exhaust, and an SR20 Apexi filter. Couldn't pass it up considering what I had in it.

Then this FJ popped up the very next day.

I am in contact with TMS now so hopefully with his help and his knowledge this FJ build will come together. It should be fun popping the hood on a car with this thing stuffed in the front end.

Well the only thing I have sitting without an engine is a AE86. The guy I bought the shell from has had two rollas with CA's and his now has a 7mgte so the CA seemed to be the good choice but then the FJ popped up. I was wanting to get an old opel for a crazy transplant but at the moment with the euro to dollar I think I might have to see how the FJ will fit in the front end of the Corolla shell.

Not sure if it is the right car to transplant this thing into but it is all that is available to me at the moment.

hey man, a 'rolla with an FJ would get me stiff in the pants. Go for it. Just make sure that thing has some ITB velocity stack sexiness.

The fun part will be traying to close the hood. Mine won't shut without some clearancing.

I have visions of twin side drafts and air filters poking through a scoop in the hood. Ram air FJ FTW!!!

I was thinking the same thing. It is a tall motor. The s12 transmission is pretty short so maybe I can position it closer to the rear of the car.

Wait, the FJ24 was only 2340cc? WTF?! Thats like ford calling the 302 a 5L. Way to suck guys.

I mean, its a sicknasty engine, but it should have been called the FJ23 if that was indeed the case.
