Well, the vert is gonna get hauled away in the next day or so and put in the junkyard. The insurance company is finally moving around and they shot me a price for my car: $1200. A realyl "meh" price. I went onto kbb and nada.com and found some retail listings at between $3200 and $3900 and gave em to Allstate. They said that since I have taken quite a few parts off the car that they would have to knock their price down. So they offered me about $3700 About 1500 more than I paid for it, and pays for 300 bucks short of my loan on my new car. So that works out nicely, and some parts of this poor car will go on to help NICO members in the future.

As soon as I find out where it's heading I'll tell ya the junkyard it's at so any local members can pick parts off that I was unable to remove myself. Sorry I couldn't help some of ya, especially the people looking for top frames.

So long 240. It was a good run.

That's as far as the top goes down. The frame is practically bent in half.An interesting shot. I hit so hard with my left arm that I bent the steering wheel. This is what broke my wrists and elbow.

Yeah, but nowhere near as bad as my femur. Both wrists were cracked, left elbow a bit moreso, along with sternum and two ribs. The left wrist hurt when I tried using a walker so they stuck a brace on me. Otherwise that, I barely even noticed the other bones were broken until a couple days into rehab.

BTW, Wii sports is awesome rehab :D

Prolly would. I just can't do good in bowling anymore. My highest score was a 212 and now I'm averaging about 180. I bet my power throws rating is better than any of you though. Fear my 674!

That's weird. You could easily head to a junkyard and find one that isn't cracked I bet. Just bring along the ducttaped one for comparison

Good idea. I've heard the vert mirror is just a GM mirror, so there is probably mirror glass out there that would work.

I bet you will never forget this car. Good thing that you are still healthy and posting 'Good bye...' thread. That's what really matters.

RIP 'vert.

That's one of the all-time great 'verts in our forums history! Not for it's mods or styling, or any great performance feats. It will go down in history for protecting one of our best friends!

We solute you poor red 'vert!

Or you could just pull a nice mirror and windshield mount out of a junker and figure out the wiring. You might be able to find one with map lights, etc.

The whole boring story is here:

zerothread?id=276284

BTW, the lawyer says the lawsuit will settle for about $100k, and about 20-25k of it will go to the lawyer. Doesn't feel like much considering I lost 5k in lost wages, 5k in property, and 71k in medical bills...
