Chrome!! 7 inch wide!! BUY IT NOW $675!!

There are three sets like this on ebay right now. 2 of them are 6.5 wide and the other one is 7 wide. I just put a set of the 7 wide on my 92 Q and they look beautiful. Camera is down or I would show you. You could also get away with the 6.5 width, still .5 wider than stock. The 6.5 wide set look to be a real good deal the others have been chromed and seem reasonable for chrome. Waaaay cheaper by half than the 2002 Q or G wheels and no problems with recalls like the 5 spoke 17 gen 2 wheels. I can't tell you how good these look, I mounted them with a brand new set of Michelin pilot sport AS 225/55/16 and all the guys in the tire shop crowded around wanting to know what kind of wheels they were, they were surprised they were stock Infiniti wheels. Oh, and I weighed them, they are exactly the same weight as the piepans, and the piepans were not wearing the center caps when I weighed them.

Yes, these could be the ones being recalled.

I still woulda bought 'em (and swapped 'em).

Seller wouldn't accept my offer. Looks like they sold anyway. :(

Swapping them out might be difficult unless you have a tight connection at the dealer, which you probably do Greg. But as I read the recall it's up to the dealer if the wheels don't come in on the original or proper year Q. They don't have to honor the recall if you come in with them on another car or as parts when you don't own the proper year.

Why were they recalled? Is that what most wheels on ebay are from, recalls?

No - There was a certain run of 17" Infiniti alloys that were recalled for safety reasons. Although there were no documented failures, apparently there was the POTENTIAL of a weak point in the wheels, and they were recalled for replacement. Affected years were 2000-2001 (I think).

Half the time, half the used wheels are not in specification.

I bought a few sets and most times at least one had to be replaced.

Oem new specs are very precise as to roundness and balance, even well taken care of oem wheels get bad by 60-100k.....you cannot see the out of roundness but you can measure the amount of weight the wheel alone requires.

Buyer beware especially chromed, as it cost at least $150 each to precision straighten a wheel.
