And it features one of the best platformers ever...Mega Man X. And it's pretty frigging funny.

I HATE hand holding in games. It ruined bowser's inside story and makes most console games insufferable.

Watch ep 1. He compares Castlevanias 1 & 2 and points out flaws that still persist in modern game design.

I watched both. I do agree with the second one.

I remember being bored a few years back (2008ish) and playing Mega Man X on a emulator and getting into it, mean while I was playing MMX instead of CoD and other current games. Definitely stands the test of time.

Good video, and touches on a lot of good stuff. Much of what he talks about is also covered in pretty extensive detail in the Developer Commentary for most Valve games. They do a lot of talking about making "teaching" in the game feel natural, and about the difference between handholding and instructing. They talk about the evolutionary process that iterative playtesting and development goes into getting it perfect, something Megaman didn't have the luxury of (at least not to anywhere near the same extent). If you have either Portal game (particularly the first one) or any Half Life 2 title, I strongly recommend playing through in commentary mode.
