hey all - i need some suggestions on a good top-mount t3/t4 turbo exhaust manifold for a ka24de. i'm having trouble finding any good resources, at least on google. i keep getting linked to ebay ones, which i wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

that being said, i don't wanna spend a grand on one. i feel pretty confident that I can find a good, middle of the road, externally wastegated for $300-400. is that possible? can anyone suggest a good one from experience? i'll probably be running 15-20lbs of boost.

it doesn't necessarily have to be top mount, but I like the way it looks and i don't want any clearance issues in case i go with an even bigger turbo later on.

JGS makes a good log style mani, its top mount and built really stout. that being said tho logs dont flow as well as tube style manis, but the good tube manis are anywhere from 800 to 1000+

wow, that's gonna be the most expensive part of my build - even more than the turbo. i guess i'll try to find one used :P

Log manifolds will have quicker spool up than most tubulars. However the top end torque isnt there on a log as it is on a tubular. Also, past 450 hp log manifolds become really inefficient.

i'll keep that in mind. my goal is 350-400hp. if i decide to go higher than that, i'll probably need to upgrade a lot more things than just the exhaust manifold - i'd probably want an aftermarket intake mani, >550cc injectors, aftermarket fuel rail, even bigger clutch, etc. the log mani won't be the only bottleneck

I actually had a guy locally make mine....he has done quite a few of them, all equal length tubing, tig welded, very nice stuff. I will be selling it here soon i hope...will have pics.

You can find used quality t3 manifolds for that price range. As for brands, I believe there is a whole list on one of the stickies on this subforum.
