Why get pissed at the Judge? He's following the law. Plus, I don't know that they'd be able to get at the Federal Government anyways. The agent, for sure, but he's not paid nearly enough for that, so the company that owns the Ferrari is pretty well screwed.krash wrote:wow. Really?"there is a law that grants immunity if property is in the custody of law enforcement!"

This^elwesso wrote:well first of all, if you're making the rules wouldn't you make them in your favor? Sure I think its pretty shady that the government can do something like this and basically screw the taxpayers for it. Honestly though, I'd rather see that insurance company eat it than have my taxpayer money pay for a ferrari that was stolen..
Next of all, as said it's not the judge's fault, its the judge's job to uphold and interpret the law, so if the rules were already wrote...

But on a side note how did they deem that a total loss... Give me about 60 hours of work and some materials ( rivet gun, rivets, bondo, fiberglass, and heat gun) I would have that girl looking good!!!

Yeah well, ruin his life. Maybe then he'll (and other law enforcement members) will think twice about taking your stuff. If he gets away with this scott-free, there is nothing stopping anyone else from doing the same, aside from their non-existent morals.hannibal wrote: They should definitely sue the agent who wrecked it. He wasn't on official business when he "borrowed" it. It would be quite difficult to collect however.
