If you wanted to do a good take off you should have gotten the 3.5lvnitup00 wrote:a friend of mine suggested today that when i wanna do a good take off, i should drop it in neutral rev it up to high RPM and then put it in D and this will help with the take off....i drive the 2.5CVT.
so my question is what do you guys think? will it help? is good or bad on the transmission?
this topic came up when i was telling him that another friend of mine that drives an 02 civic, another 06 SI and an RSX want to race my baby lol.
so what yall think?
he is not your friend if he is suggesting that. that is by far one of the worst things you can do to a car. if you want to get off the line quicker, step on the brake pedal and gas pedal at the same time and it will engage the stall converter and allow you to raise your RPMs to i think 2500k (i forgot how much exactly it lets you, its been a while), then just let off the brake while having your foot all the way on the gas. i do that at the track all the time and its safe. i have a 3.5se and get a little bit of wheel spin so the 2.5s should get like no wheel spin at allvonivo wrote:he is not your friend
