This man ain't neva lied. You might be able to run 255/40 tires all around with square fitment depending on which brands you go with.

18's look too big without a nice kit and 19's wont fit without a huge pull and roll and a tuck, stick with 17x9 +20's like he said.

Car = good, clean start.wheels = Oh dear God... Why!? Those are Battleship sunk...

This may help you...http://www.rimtuck.com/thumbna...r+asc

The tricky thing is to figure out what you can fit flush under stock fenders and whether it will require things like rolling or pulling.

Also, the reason most ppl will recommend that you put no larger than 17's on an s13 is that the stock wheels are 15's. And for every size you increase your wheel's diameter, you need to decrease the profile of your tire. This is so that your stock gearing won't throw off your speedometer.

For example: You go +1 over the stock 15's, giving you 16's. The stock tire profile is 60. So you need to come down to a 50 profile to keep your total original diamater the same. With +2 size wheels, you'll be rocking 17's, and you'll want 40 profile tire usually.

If you go any further, like to 18's, you need even lower profile tires, like 30 profile, really. But that is really uncomfortable to drive on. Even 35 profile is uncomfortable IMO and both will throw off your speedo a little.

17's with 40 profile tires is generally considered to s13's sweet spot. Just be sure to get them with good widths and offsets too, to be flush with your fenders.

Good luck.
