I still have my old Escort, yes the big.

But the Valentine V1 or something like that is what everyone swears by. It's pricey though.

I used to sell them and I have had about everything. Escort Passport 8500 best bang for your buck. If you dont want to spend 300, go with a BEL. BEL, in my opinion, has the best less expensiven detectors. DO NOT GET UNIDEN or Whistler. The Valentine 1 is still the best thing out there though. One great thing about the Valentine is the fact that you can upgrade them so they dont become obsolete! My advice, SAVE SAVE SAVE and get the Valentine One!!!

I have used valentine and Escort. IMO the valentine is best.I currently use a v1 and escort zr3 simultaneously. Many people like the Escort SR7 w/ the zr3, due to the compact discreet mount and NO windshield mounted display. I've tried this and it is truly an excellent system. But I prefer the V1.

i have a V1 right now. it warns me so early of cops i have time to change a cd before i slow down, the arrows point me exactly where the cop is too. it is very sensitive to motion doors, but all radars are.

Does V1 have a 'if you get a ticket, we'll pay it guarantee'??

No V1 does not and I would be warry of any that do. The detector is only to help notify you if their are police agencies using speed monitoring devices. The responsiblity is still up to the driver to obey the posted speed laws. Detectors don't slow the vehicle or speed limit the velocity of it. If you drive safe you won't get a ticket. If you drive fast you are more likely to be written a ticket. If you drive fast with a detector you will know in advance if you are going to get pulled over and possibly written a ticket. So get a V1 and drive safe. Cheers!
